OK Conference Green Breakdown: Top Teams, Top Players in 2026

Be sure to get locked in before you get left out.**</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The OK Conference is packed with talented teams on the west side of the state, and we are going to take a closer look at the OK Green Division for 2026.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This division produced a D1 semifinalist in 2025 while having some of the top players in the state. It should be a very strong battle at the top of the conference again this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Byron Center</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bulldogs won the OK Green last year and made a run to Battle Creek with a relatively young roster, which bodes well for their chances to collect more hardware in 2026. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'] </strong>(Nebraska) is one of the most well-rounded players in the country and she is back as a senior to lead the team as an outside hitter. Byron Center has a packed offense with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='809922' first='Cara' last='Crittendon'] </strong>(Albion), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='830699' first='Caitlin' last='Hartson']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='908353' first='Kenna' last='Deters'] </strong>back. All four have show the ability to put the ball away. <strong>Lele Froysland </strong>is also back as one of the two setters, so this offense should be able to hit the ground running to start the season. Johnson is a great defensive leader, alongside libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='834311' first='Kinsley' last='Whitfield']</strong>, who is among the top defenders in the junior class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Jenison</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Wildcats have been in the mix as one of the top teams out west for years and 2026 should be no different. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='464378' first='Ava' last='Bush-Nelson'] </strong>(Bowling Green) is one of the top middles in the state and set for a big senior year. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='467951' first='Rylee' last='Paddock']</strong> is a great senior outside/DS combo player that can impact the game in all phases. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='557447' first='Makenzie' last='Thompson'] </strong>can play the middle or outside, giving Jenison three great options along the net. Leading setter <strong>Cora Rottman </strong>returns for her senior year, giving Jenison plenty of experience on offense. In the back row, <strong>Rylee Fennema </strong>is also back for her senior year to provide leadership on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Caledonia</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fighting Scots have been somewhat overshadowed playing in this tough conference, as they have the ability to be a top team in the state. This year is a chance to put it altogether behind a veteran offense, led by senior outside <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='459740' first='Aubrey' last='Reynolds'] </strong>(Findlay). She's a very productive attacker that can take on a big workload. Junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='939677' first='Lydia' last='Bell']</strong> is a big 6'2” presence in the middle, while junior <strong>Quinn Zeigler </strong>is an outside that could be a breakout candidate for 2026. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='570463' first='Reese' last='Stafford'] </strong>is back to run the offense at setter and has good chemistry with all three hitters, while senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='809359' first='Avery' last='Seif'] </strong>is one of the most agile liberos in the state. Caledonia also has a promising DS in senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502408' first='Kayleigh' last='Miersen']</strong> that makes this roster really strong on paper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Players To Watch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sr. DyNasti Bell, MH Muskegon; Jr. Karlie Church, So.
