Prep Dig Sizzle Watch: Names Everyone is Talking About

For some, that means stepping into positions vacated by seniors who graduated. For others, it means taking on expanded roles after months of growth, development, and hard work during the club season. Every year, the Sizzle provides an early glimpse of what the high school season might hold, and this year should be no different. She finished with 293 kills (2.8 per set), 61 aces, 30 blocks, and 218 digs while also taking on a bulk of the serve receive responsibilities with 172 receptions. With another year of growth, development, and offseason training at Madtown, she will likely be a big standout a Deforest. Last season, she recorded 284 kills (2.6 per set), 19 aces, 35 blocks, 70 digs, and handled 171 receptions. The outside hitter put together an impressive sophomore stat sheet by racking up 267 kills, 17 aces, 23 blocks, 171 digs, and by handling a whopping 222 receptions. The D1 commit to FGCU does just about everything for her team and consistently finds herself near the top of the stat sheet in every category. Last season, she tallied 805 assists, finished second on the team with 203 kills, led the team with 76 aces, and ranked second with 367 digs. She finished the year with 42 aces, 158 digs, 19 assists, and handled an impressive 275 receptions, averaging 3.0 receptions per set. With the graduation of senior libero Newman, Monroe is expected to take on even more responsibility in the back row.
