What 5 Teams To Watch On The LIVE Sizzle Schedule

The Prep Dig Sizzle is back!  This event has been held at the Community First Champion Center since 2020.  Yes, the year where we weren't quite sure if or when there would be a season coming out of Covid.  Prep Dig will welcome 48 varsity teams and 32 junior varsity with play taking place Monday, July 13-July 15.

What Teams To Watch For

Kimberly 

The Papermakers return a stacked lineup from their 2025 state tournament team.  Brianna Hagglund Brianna Hagglund OH/RS Kimberly | 2028 State WI is the high flying Class of 2028 outside hitter who was recently named the MVP of the 16 American Division for FC Elite 16 Elite team who took home the title.  Finley Van Lannen Finley Van Lannen 5'6" | DS WI and Harper Van Lannen Harper Van Lannen L WI are the outside and libero duo who are back as well.  They were named to the All Tournament Team in the 17 American Division where they finished third with FC Elite 17 Navy. 

Waunakee

The Madison area is rising and Waunakee is leading the way.  The Warriors advanced to the state tournament in 2025, making it to the semifinals before running into DSHA.  They return a squad who can defend and score points led by one of the top 2027s in Wisconsin with Notre Dame commit, Lauren Sprague Lauren Sprague 5'9" | OH/DS/L Waunakee | 2027 State WI . 

Luxemburg-Casco 

The Spartans have been a top contender to do some post season damage the past decade.  They are coming off a state runner-up finish in 2024 and a semifinal appearance in 2025.  They will rely on Stephen F. Austin commit in Aubrey Frey Aubrey Frey 5'9" | OH/DS/L Luxemburg-Casco | 2027 State #145 Nation WI who has been a go to attacker for the Spartans her entire career. 

Mayville

The Mayville Cardinals are going to be a team to watch in 2026 where they are returning a large core of their roster from a 21-13 record in 2025.  Leah Vossekuil Leah Vossekuil MH State WI and Lilian Mansueto Lilian Mansueto OH WI will be leading the way as seniors where they combined for 4.5 kills/set last season. Keep an eye out for rising sophomore in Brielle Ehlers. 

De Pere

The Redbirds advanced to sectional tournament play before running into eventual state tournament team in Kimberly.  They have a loaded senior class led by Erin O’Connor Erin O’Connor MB De Pere | 2027 State WI , Adeline Dwyer, and Mariah Jeskewitz Mariah Jeskewitz De Pere | 2027 State WI .  They will also look to rising senior setter in Kayli Raygo Kayli Raygo 5'6" | S/RS De Pere | 2027 State WI .
