Silver Strong - NRG 16 AMPD Navy

<p>I have kept an eye on this group all club season, and it is no wonder they made it so far. NRG 16 AMPD Navy fought hard in 16 USA division, but came up short, dropping the championship game to A5 16-Stephen 22-25, 20-25. While it may not have been the finish they'd hoped for, NRG has a lot to show for this season. Swinging from anywhere and everywhere to keep the ball in play and push for points, McKinley works for hers with a strong and consistent swing. Defensively she moves through every pass in her direction and hustled to keep rallies going. Regardless of the score, she is going to play big every game, an obvious choice to keep on the court and a definite reason for her team's success this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Bailee Brown, a big part of NRG's offense at GJNC week as a dominant right side hitter. Not just present for a big block, but she brings a big swing to to the game too. On the opposite pin, she is always ready for the ball, and will not hesitate to swing big and swing hard. As a secondary threat offensively, Bailee keeps opposing defenders honest with her ability to swing for the corners. Her size, her strength, her energy are all great signs the Bailee will fight until the very last point.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Emma Munford, an all out setter for energy, changes the tempo of the game as soon as she steps on the court. Pushing her hitters to a quick tempo and utilizing every scoring option on the court. She is actively playing defense to aid her team in keeping the play alive. She reads and reacts to the ball well and makes effective plays when she has the ball. Showing off her connection with her middles, and high IQ for the game is what sets her apart and keeps her moving ahead of her opponents.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kennedy Christie, there is no question about her ability to run the net as a middle blocker. She is always ready to be an offensive threat, consistently and efficiently transitioning to be an option and making defenses pay for being late. She sets a strong block and connects well with her teammates on the court. It does not take long for Kennedy to make an impact as her energy, swing, and presence at the net are the momentum changers her team needs to remain competitive.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Abigail Lang, defense queen for NRG, plays all out ball when she touches the court. Working to keep the ball in front of her and plays alive, there is no stopping her from going for the ball. In a hard fought game against A5 Abigail continued to push herself to read and react to the ball effectively to keep her team in rally. Making big plays and digging the hard hits, her IQ and court awareness keep her in the right spot at the right time to do her job as leader of the back court. </p>
