Six Georgia Prospects Preparing for the GA Stock Up Showcase

A recruiting board is always changing.   New athletes enter the conversation. Younger prospects begin developing clearer positional identities. Experienced players create fresh film, take on larger roles and give evaluators new reasons to follow their progress.   The next group registered for the Georgia Stock Up Showcase on August 8 includes athletes across four graduation classes and nearly every position on the court. Some already appear in the state rankings. Others are using the showcase as an opportunity to establish their names before the upcoming high-school and club seasons create another wave of evaluation.   These eight prospects bring different strengths and developmental questions into the event. What they show through skill, communication, adaptability and competitive habits could determine which names remain on recruiting boards after the final whistle.    Paislee is another young middle using Stock Up to begin building a more visible evaluation history. Her position requires patience because middles often depend on timing and connections that can be difficult to establish quickly with unfamiliar setters. How she handles that challenge will become part of the evaluation.   What to watch August 8: Her adaptability. Paislee can stand out by remaining available in transition, adjusting her approach to different setting locations and continuing to work even when she does not receive the ball. Evaluators should also watch whether she communicates blocking assignments and learns from each repetition. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Annie enters the event as one of several promising 2030 front-row athletes. At 6-foot-1, she already possesses the size to attract attention, but young middles are evaluated just as closely for movement, timing and their willingness to work through every phase of the rally.   What to watch August 8: Everything Annie does before the attack. Her first blocking step, ability to close to the pins, transition path and communication with setters will offer important clues about her projection. She does not need to be a finished middle at this stage. Showing that she can process feedback and improve during the session may be equally valuable. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Melodia gives Evans another 2029 outside hitter represented at the showcase. Competing alongside another athlete from the same school does not mean the two will be evaluated identically. This event gives Melodia a chance to establish the qualities that make her own game recognizable.   What to watch August 8: Her positional identity. Melodia can separate herself through shot selection, serve-receive discipline, transition effort and the ability to contribute when she is not the primary attacker. Evaluators should look for the habits that show whether she can develop into a dependable six-rotation option. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Bella enters Stock Up with an opportunity to compete outside her regular environment and create another evaluation point within the 2029 class. Showcases can be especially valuable for defensive players because they reveal how quickly an athlete can adjust to new servers, hitters and teammates without relying on established systems.   What to watch August 8: How Bella responds to unfamiliarity. Evaluators should track her first-step discipline, platform control and communication as rotations change around her. A defender who remains composed and dependable with multiple groups can show that her skills translate beyond one lineup. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Lucy arrives as a ranked 2028 defender with another important high-school season ahead. As an upperclassman prospect, her showcase evaluation should extend beyond whether she can make the first dig. Recruiters will want to see how she organizes the backcourt, responds to aggressive serving and influences rallies through communication and positioning.   What to watch August 8: Her ownership of the court. Lucy can strengthen her profile by calling seams early, taking responsibility for short balls and remaining available for second contacts. The more predictable she makes first contact for her teammates, the more valuable her defensive presence becomes. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Merryl enters the showcase as a ranked defensive prospect with an opportunity to demonstrate that backcourt value is not determined by height. Defensive specialists separate themselves through early reads, disciplined movement and the ability to control first contact before a rally becomes chaotic. At No. 59 in Georgia's 2029 rankings, she already has a foundation of recognition to build upon.   What to watch August 8: Merryl's ability to create calm in serve receive. Evaluators should pay attention to how she handles seams, communicates with unfamiliar passers and keeps difficult contacts within the team's offensive system. Her strongest statement may come through consistency rather than one dramatic defensive play. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga    Not every prospect attending Stock Up needs the same outcome.   Merryl, Lucy and Bella can show evaluators how defensive consistency creates stability. Presley and Melodia can demonstrate the complete responsibilities required from modern outside hitters. Annie and Paislee can give an early look at their front-row projection, while Kenslie has an opportunity to show how a young setter can organize athletes she has never played beside.   For some, August 8 may strengthen an existing ranking. For others, it may create the first meaningful evaluation attached to their name. The common opportunity is the chance to show more than measurements, positions or statistics can explain.   The athletes who remain on the board will be the ones who make their value visible—through the way they compete, communicate, adjust and continue working when the gym becomes unfamiliar.   The Georgia Stock Up Showcase takes place August 8. Registration remains open for athletes ready to gain evaluation, strengthen their Prep Dig profiles and create another opportunity to be seen.
