As an outside hitter, she was constantly moving between responsibilities—transitioning from defense into offense, resetting after the play and staying prepared for the next opportunity. What stood out was the consistency of that effort. She did not appear interested only when the ball was coming her way. Landry remained involved in what was happening around her and continued working through each repetition, something that becomes especially important at a showcase where timing and chemistry are constantly changing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That steadiness speaks to the type of athlete coaches can build trust in. Freshmen are still learning how to manage mistakes, unfamiliar teammates and the emotional swings that come with competition, and Landry showed an ability to keep moving forward instead of allowing one contact to define the next.
