Big Walnut sits at 3-0 after the early goings of the season as they have yet to drop a set. Damron is among the top offensive threats for the Golden Eagles as she currently leads the team at a 2.7 k/s average heading into a big match versus Olentangy Berlin, which will be a great test for both squads. Damron is another stock riser coming off the club season that saw her perform with a good rate of success offensively. Expect her numbers in 2026 to be above the 173 kills she contributed last fall as she has improved the quality of her arm action as a primary left side hitter.

James' impact is already being felt this fall as she is averaging 2.4 k/s for the Polar Bears who are out to an early 2-0 record. She has also performed well defensively at the net, which is an area this team can impact games to balance their competitive effort on both sides of the ball. James opened the season with 12 kills in a solid 3-2 win for Jackson over a good team from Mentor. She followed up that effort with another seven kills as they beat GlenOak 3-0. Jackson will next take on Perry.

Perin had a solid club season with her [program_tooltip program_id='431829' first='Athlete' last='HQ'] team, often showcasing her ability to swing aggressively with good pace and movement of the ball. The 5'11 pin looks to contribute for a Huron team that found good success last seaon as they finished 21-6 overall while returning some key arms and other role players to get their offense moving. Perin can add depth to fill the gap of their third top scorer from 2025, which will help alleviate some attention on their current top offensive threats.

Taylor (*pictured) could be an x-factor for Kings this season given the other pieces they have offensively on the pins in addition to the gains she has made in her own game on both sides of the ball. She is quick and athletic to swing effectively through fast options, while also able to defend well at the net from pin to pin. Kings is 1-1 on the early season with a sweep of Lebanon before a tough 3-2 loss to St. Ursula. Against one of the best DI teams in Ohio in SUA, Taylor terminated nine kills while leading the Knights with three blocks.

Miami East hasn't competed much yet this season but Alexander is certain to be a feature arm for them. She returns to the high school season ready to contribute well at the varsity level following a competitive club season with Team Atlantis. Early season action has included some big swings in the middle as, at 5'11, she can play that role as well as use her arm in other situations at the pins or out of the back row if needed. As this team settles in and can develop some ball control rhythm, Alexander's impact has potential to be felt through quicker options.
