If you were around for our July coverage, you likely heard a lot about Kansas 2029s after we overhauled our rankings for the Sunflower State. Our post-release coverage shined the spotlight on several rising sophomores building off massive debut seasons in 2025. As we pivot to our high school preview stretch, it's time to expand that list of high-impact 2029s.

You'll likely recognize a few of these names, either from the club circuit or recent Prep Dig Showcase outings. It's only Year 2 for this group, but they've seemingly done it all.

Kansas has brought its share of efficient terminators in the underclassman ranks. Kollmeyer was a clear leader in that regard last fall, hitting at a 0.249 clip at Argonia's middle blocker spot. Lighting up the scoreboard against Kansas' physical defenses can be a daunting proposition for any freshman, but Kollmeyer patrolled the Raider frontcourt with rare confidence. Last year's 38-2 campaign is a launching point for Kollmeyer's further rise in the 2029 hierarchy.

Sparks lingered near the top of last year's freshman scoring charts with over 250 kills at Bishop Seabury. However, this outside hitters effectiveness shines beyond simple numbers on a box score. She's fresh off a productive club outing with Dynasty 15 Gray, where she played around the dial and was an indispensable part of the serve-receive pattern. This led to standout performances at Windy City and Show Me, among other high-stakes events. Sparks has accumulated all the experience needed to make an even bigger leap in her second year with the Seahawks.

Here's an example of one of those past showcase stars. We've documented Livermore's many Prep Dig Circuit travels, from her debut at our Nebraska Freshman event to her all-showcase performance at last month's Missouri/Kansas Showcase. Livermore's setter-hitter role has already flourished at KMCHS, where she amassed 3.2 kills and 2.4 assists per set with the Crusaders last fall. This top-ranked prospect will have an even greater influence in Year 2 before she begins a new club journey with PVA.

Carrying a starting setter role as a freshman is a rare feat, but Carr got a head start in her prep development last fall. She led St. John's Beloit/Tipton with nearly 500 total assists and was a stout floor defender in her backcourt rotations. In fact, this Manhattan-area star has the potential to alter matches in any ball-control phase. Her instincts, precision, and leadership will only sharpen as a sophomore.

If you're looking to put a lid on the net, Tillotson is a worthy option. She immediately became Goddard High School's most productive blocker last year, churning out 0.7 stuffs per set alongside a deep cast of frontcourt veterans. Her mature ability to read opposing setters and take deliberate first steps stands out on Tillotson's highlight film. She also found her groove as an offensive weapon late in the 2025 season, making her even more dangerous in Year 2 with the Lions.

Let's venture into the back row. Goessel High School was anchored by a bevy of star underclassmen en route to last year's 31-12 mark. Voth led the defensive end of that youth movement with a team-best 4.3 digs per set in the contrasting jersey. Her pinpoint passes also teed up the lethal Bluebird offense, allowing Voth's peers to excel against older opponents. It's scary to think that Voth and the Bluebirds could be even more dominant with further reps in the Kansas prep arena.

This isn't our first visit with Greeley County High School lately. The small-town school in western Kansas has produced plenty of underclassmen for our radar, and Cavanee joins the list with her boundless versatility around the dial. Her native position is at left-side hitter, where she eclipsed triple-digit kills for the Jackrabbits. However, she also notched the kind of defensive numbers that rival most defensive specialists in the freshman ranks. Cavanee can score from anywhere, but her command doesn't waver along the end line, either.
