Kapaun’s Livermore hangs on to the top spot in the Class of 2029 rankings. She has been ranked No. 1 since I first saw her play club ball in early 2025. She had a solid start to her high school career, posting 298 kills, 217 assists, and 194 digs as a freshman. She played 92 sets for the Class 5A State Tournament Qualifying team. She also recorded 28 blocks and 20 aces for the Crusaders. Her versatility to play either hitter or setter is what gives her a slight advantage over the athletes ranked No. 2 and No. 3.

Livermore is currently the No. 1-ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2029. She will want to be on high alert next week as Prep Dig Kansas has scheduled a rankings update for Tuesday, January 20. She put together a solid enough freshman season with Kapaun Mt. Carmel to make an argument to claim the top spot. She finished second on the Class 5A State Tournament team in kills as a freshman with 298 in 92 sets played. She also recorded 217 assists, 194 digs, 163 serve receptions, 28 blocks, and 20 assists. However, she will have plenty of prospects vying for that top spot, as the rankings will exceed 200 total ranked athletes.

In my five years of scouting, up until recently, I had never received an email from an athlete apologizing for not being able to attend a Prep Dig Showcase. Yet, that’s what I got from Livermore. What a classy gesture! The Kapaun prospect had planned to come to the Prep Dig Exposure Tour in Kansas City, Kansas, on December 14, but a recent scheduling conflict arose. So she let me know she would be missing it and sent me some possible dates when I could catch her play this club season. I am not sure I will be able to see her this winter, but I will try. That kind of email is how you network and build relationships, my friends. Livermore is ranked No. 1 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029.

Livermore is the “Limosine Riding, Jet Flying, Kiss Stealing, Whealing and Dealing” star among these four. The current No. 1-ranked freshman by Prep Dig, Kapaun’s Livermore, is my World Champion Ric Flair. She can set or hit, but for this squad, she will be my flashy outside. During her freshman season, she recorded 298 kills, 217 assists, and 194 digs for the Class 5A State Tournament Qualifying Crusaders. The sky is high for this young talent, but if she starts coming to the court with the theme from 2001 Space Odyssey playing in the background, don’t blame me.

There was no change at the top of the rankings during this update. Kapaun’s Livermore remains the No. 1-ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2029 Prep Dig Rankings. I first saw her during the 2025 club season, and she has been a valuable addition to the Crusaders’ roster. She has registered 269 kills and 28 blocks in 82 sets played for Kapaun. The athletic power-hitter will put her skills on display at the Class 5A State Tournament in Salina this week. Kapaun owns a record of 27-10 and is the No. 7 seed in the tournament, which begins on October 30.

Here’s my wildcard pick for this feature. Livermore has made her mark as a multi-position star on the Kansas prep scene, but she didn’t get started on our showcase circuit in Kansas City. Rather, this extraordinary athlete traveled to my turf and took over this summer’s Prep Dig Nebraska Freshman Showcase. Livermore’s journey was well worth it, as she dominated as a backcourt setter and a right-side attacker. Kapaun Mt. Carmel has leaned on their first-year leader for 3.3 kills per set and nearly 200 total assists–a true testament to Livermore’s all-around skill and versatility.

One private school freshman I will be on my radar is Kapaun Mt. Carmel’s Livermore. She is currently the No. 1-ranked athlete in the Kansas Class of 2029. I scouted her this summer during the club season and was taken aback by how advanced her game is at such an early age. She is a graceful and physical attacker who has the skills to set some school records for the Crusaders. The key question heading into the season is how much varsity playing time she will get on an experienced and deep Kapaun squad.

Out-of-state visitors have a knack for lighting up our Nebraska showcases. Livermore made the massive trek from Wichita to La Vista for Saturday’s event, and we’re so fortunate she did. This dynamic athlete seamlessly transitioned between setting and attacking during her showcase stint and proved to be a game-changer in both roles. Livermore brings incredible finesse to the setter spot but will deliver floor-denting swings as an opposite. Such a dichotomy is rare, and Livermore’s

Livermore is a prospect I saw during the club season. She has a bright future and is a dangerous hitter. She is a lock to make the Top Ten in the Class of 2029 rankings when they are first released. She will need to return on May 20 to see just how high she lands.
