Top Outsides at the Michigan Freshman Showcase

Getting all of the next generation of student athletes in one gym, balling out next to one another is quite the feat. This year at the Michigan Freshman Showcase was no different. If anything, this may have been the best one yet.</p>   <p>From national champions, to emerging talents, and to the names we need to keep an eye on for in a few years. This class is another uber talented one out of the Mitten state.</p>   <p>Next up, there's plenty of these players to go around and they're just SO GOOD! You'll have to tune into part 2 of this list, because there was just so many of them to put in one. The pin attackers are some of the most heavily relied on on the court. In system, out of system, front row or back row, the best of them are ALWAYS an option. Let's take a look at the top outside and opposite hitters in the 2030 class from Michigan!</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1012033' first='Eva' last='Solares']-Vitti - Divine Child/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>First up, this emerging right side could be a key piece to Divine Child's success for the next few years. DC has been a program that has found themselves in the mix for the top of D2 and [player_tooltip player_id='1012033' first='Eva' last='Solares']-Vitti is the kind of player that could develop and take them there. Wherever she is along the net, Solares-Vitti delivers a heavy ball and can carve up some great shots around the court.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Kymiah Brown-Kelley - Woodhaven/Passion</h2>   <p>This is another opposite from the downriver area and let it be known, with a player like Kymiah Brown-Kelley and [player_tooltip player_id='995140' first='Lainey' last='Holt'], these two could make some serious waves for Woodhaven. Brown-Kelly is a lefty on the right that packs a major punch. She hits a heavy ball and elevates quite well to tack off an array of shots. KBK is going to be a fascinating prospect to watch develop.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1007820' first='Elodie' last='Schreurs'] - Portage Northern/FaR Out</h2>   <p>Portage Northern is going to be on the rebuild after a superb 2025 class, in comes a promising attacker in [player_tooltip player_id='1007820' first='Elodie' last='Schreurs']. This is a pin attacker that brings great size to the court and has an arm swing that can really develop into something lethal. When Schreurs connects with the ball, its game over. This will be a more than welcome presence for the Huskies as they look to continue their deep postseason runs.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1007545' first='Chessa' last='Kaiton'] - Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out</h2>   <p>Another FaR Out product, [player_tooltip player_id='1007545' first='Chessa' last='Kaiton'] comes just in time for Forest Hills Northern as one of the top programs in Division 1. At 5'7, Kaiton ca easily weave in and out of positions as both an outside hitter and a DS/Libero. Kaiton brings to the court a really steady first contact and a blistering third. The more Kaiton touches the ball, the higher success rate.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1009098' first='Laura' last='Aubrey'] - Mercy/Legacy</h2>   <p>I am not sure if there is a better attacker in this class. [player_tooltip player_id='1009098' first='Laura' last='Aubrey'] has maybe cemented herself as the top gun in 2030. A million dollar arm, an incredible vertical and a developing overall game, Aubrey can very much put herself in a class of her own. Seeing her at a closer look like this, it is to no wonder how Aubrey is finding the success and the accolade she has found herself acquiring over the last several months. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Sophia Jacobs - Marian/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>This is another player that is going to really come into her own quite nicely as her career progresses. Sophia Jacobs is an outside hitter that has a really strong complete game. Whether it is with her first contact, her attack or even an out of system ball, Jacobs is consistent and precise. She has been a vocal point for Michigan Elite's Elite squads over the last two seasons and will look to be an anchor once more.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1009770' first='Waverly' last='Diegel'] - Midland Dow/Legacy</h2>   <p>The Midland area is starting to heat up with talent and when I mean heat up, I mean take a look at [player_tooltip player_id='1009770' first='Waverly' last='Diegel']. This girl is all gas and no breaks. Diegel is as strong as they come and it makes sense as she is an older freshman. Due to her age, she has had to play up an age division in club and you can definitely see the maturity in her play and between as well. Midland Dow is going to be a big threat this fall with Deigel's entry.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='979317' first='Olivia' last='Burkert'] - Milford/Legacy</h2>   <p>Milford is going to be a team you do not want to mess with over the course of the next few years. With not only the talent coming in, but the experience, Milford will be a power player in Division 1. One of the biggest reasons for this is [player_tooltip player_id='979317' first='Olivia' last='Burkert'] on the outside. This player is coming in with a nasty whip of an arm and is coming off of a huge 14s club season. As a main weapon, Burkert lead 14-2 Adidas to not one but two National Runner-Up Finishes in AAU 14 Premier and USAV 14 USA.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='995140' first='Lainey' last='Holt'] - Woodhaven/Michigan Elite</h2>   <p>Let this be more so of a warning rather than an introduction, because here comes [player_tooltip player_id='995140' first='Lainey' last='Holt']. This athlete can hang and she can bang with the best of them. As I said at the top of the article with Kymiah Brown-Kelley, Woodhaven is going to be a threat in Division 1 for a few years. Holt is a versatile weapon that could very much play anywhere along the net and bring down a hammer. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1009768' first='Addalyn' last='Moore'] - Northville/L2</h2>   <p>While Northville is chock full of DS/Ls, they have been looking for a real big hitter to get back into the mix. That could very much be this rookie, [player_tooltip player_id='1009768' first='Addalyn' last='Moore']. When Moore can connect with the ball, she hits a very heavy ball. Her shot chart was impressive given her youth and Moore can also play a real solid defensive and reception game in the back court as well. </p>
