The 2026 Michigan Stock Up Showcase was a great success, with plenty of talented 2028 prospects included.

Here's the third and final part of our 2028 player evaluations from Sunday's event.

[player_tooltip player_id='765790' first='Piper' last='Ayotte'], S Skyline/Michigan Elite

Ayotte was dialed in and delivering some very hittable sets to her outsides, especially on the back pin. She was among the best setters in the Showcase in that regard. I liked her consistent poise and focus, as she always looked settled in and comfortable on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='851041' first='Sophia' last='Radze'], DS/L OLSM/Dynamite

Radze kept her head on a swivel and used active eyes to track the ball well throughout long rallies. She stayed light on her feet and showed good instincts for when to time out a sprawl or dive to keep the ball in play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1010690' first='Ava' last='Garwood'], S St. Clair/Unified

Garwood made some tough sets look rather effortless, as she kept herself in good position to not have to adjust her form much. Garwood also had good defensive instincts and backed up her hitters well, while also delivering a strong serve throughout the Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='900156' first='Devyn' last='Fiebelkorn'], S Roscommon/Michigan Elite

Fiebelkorn can look unassuming when she steps on the floor, but she played with a lot of competitive fire. It took some time for her to get comfortable with all the new hitters she worked with, but once she gelled with them, it was leading to high-level play. Fiebelkorn also was great from the service line.

[player_tooltip player_id='887162' first='Lyla' last='Russell'], DS/L Imlay City/Michigan Elite

Russell is a compact defender that showcased good all-around skills. Her arm position always held steady and she had a good first step when having to chase down a ball. Russell had nice pop on her serve and could deliver a back-row attack that was challenging to opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='807350' first='Peyton' last='Fitzgerald'], DS/L Valley Lutheran/Michigan Elite

Fitzgerald was glued to the floor, as she kept herself as low to the ground as any defender at the Showcase. She was locked into position to keep herself ready to make the tough digs and knew how to keep her first contact accurate.

[player_tooltip player_id='587006' first='Hope' last='Purwadihardja'], DS/L Plymouth/Michigan Elite

Purwadihardja had a lot of good energy, playing with a big smile on her face. That positivity translated well to the court, as she was one of the more consistent defenders in all phases. Her serve receive was at a high level and she was able to make some of the tougher digs in the Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='963720' first='Lila' last='Samhat'], S Northville/Michigan Elite

Samhat showcased really good athleticism at the setter position. She made some very agile sets and wasn't afraid to try and mix up her delivery. Samhat was determined to make plays, take chances, and leave an impression. I think she did that while playing along some really impressive setters.

[player_tooltip player_id='849832' first='McKenzie' last='Weinmann'], OH Dexter/Dynamite

Weinmann had her game face on. She played with a chip on her shoulder, showing good intensity and a willingness to battle for every play she could make. Her athleticism allowed her to shine in all phases at times, as Weinmann has the quickness and agility to be an impact player at all spots on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='912136' first='Clarissa' last='Pfeiffer'], S OLSM/Unified

Pfeiffer took some time to gel with new hitters, as can be expected at these events, but once she settled in and trusted in her ability, it brought out her best play and led to some big swings from her hitters. When Pfieffer got in her zone, it was like she was at target practice and kept hitting bullseyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1011954' first='Gia' last='DeAngelo'], DS/L Carlson/Legacy

DeAngleo was a very explosive defender. She could be still at one second and then seemingly transport to another spot in a flash. She didn't let herself be caught flat footed and stayed low to the ground while keeping her arms in good position. DeAngelo has brought a lot of thunder from the service line.

The 2026 Michigan Stock Up Showcase was a great success, with plenty of talented 2028 prospects included.
