Tournament of the Week: Week 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tomorrow or kickstart a plethora of tournaments throughout the state. This weekend and next weekend are super important in terms of the initial rankings. Those will be getting released roughly Monday the 24th. Let's take a look at a tournament that has a ton of great players and plenty of teams that could win the championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pool A: Broken Arrow, Community Christian, Edmond Santa Fe, and Norman North.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pool B: Norman, Edmond North, Deer Creek, OKC Storm. <br><br>All of these teams combined, have only one loss thus far. there will likely be at least five teams in this tournament that will make it to the state tournament. Most all of these teams have looked strong in their opening match or two. Broken Arrow got a three set sweep over Bishop McGuinness, the reigning 5A state champs. Norman North upset Mustang on Tuesday, ESF beat a solid Westmoore team and Norman got Piedmont in a 5 set thriller.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Players to Watch:</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='754412' first='Kenzie' last='Smith'] the Colorado State commit is a huge pickup for ESF. She is one of the best passers in the whole state. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='610402' first='Aliyah' last='Owens'] can just about do it all for the Broken Arrow Tigers. She is arguably the most versatile player in Oklahoma. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='752752' first='Emma' last='Rogers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='715182' first='Isabella' last='Robberson'] is about the best back row dynamic duo you can find. They are both digging machines. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='391123' first='Stella' last='Wishon'] is a big tall problem for all of Pool A. She can really put some pace on the ball when she hits. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='752601' first='Reese' last='Noller'] for Edmond North is a top 30 overall player in the senior class and is a handful on both the offensive side and the defensive side of the ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='821438' first='Izabella' last='Holasek'] and [player_tooltip player_id='748675' first='Olivia' last='Carter'] will strike fear in most defenses when they are in the front row at the same time!<br>Both can absolutely detonate on a ball at any given moment. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='752830' first='Kate' last='Starr'] and [player_tooltip player_id='846059' first='Olivia' last='Bartel'] are two huskies that you don't want to see off the leash. They pack quite a powerful bite when they are feeling it. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This tournament is littered with players all throughout our rankings. Plenty of players that will be vouching for a spot on the Allstate roster at the end of the season and even some freshman that are just starting out a very promising high school career.<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>If you have a free weekend and love volleyball, this is definitely a great tournament to attend. There are so many different ways this tournament could shake out, we are not even going to take a stab at how it will finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Other tournaments to consider checking out this weekend are Coweta, Claremore Seq, Sand Springs and Cascia Hall.
