Among the teams involved were state powers Brentwood, Valor Prep, Summertown and Summit. Arlington, Father Ryan and Summit finished 2-0 in the power pools with Eagleville, Dyer County, Station Camp, Dobyns-Bennett, Pope John Paul II, Sullivan East, Page and Liberty Creek on Friday. The lefty can take tough swings from the opposite side, but her aggressive serving is also a huge asset to Dyer County. Beasley (pictured) also has a nice vertical jump to force balls high and wide on double blocks. She reads hitters well and does a good job moving her feet. The left makes crisp first touches. Gilliam does not try to do too much on the court. Posey takes hard line swings and has turned into a sound playmaker at all six spots on the court. Posey puts across tough jump serves and makes crisp passes in the back row. Huddleston executes a variety of sets including back sets and involves a number of players. Huddleston consistently puts hitters in sound position to terminate balls. Easley makes good out of system adjustments to put quality balls over the net. Easley uses her off (left) hand to surprise opponents. Her play at the other six spots on the floor goes a long way for Sullivan East. Easley takes minimal steps to balls and makes clean first contacts. Easley sends bad first touches back toward the net and puts great topspin on her jump serves.
