Initial 2030 Player Rankings: Top Setters

She plays like a veteran and shows plenty of confidence on the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1007547' first='Amelia' last='Kurtz'], Milford/Legacy: </strong>Kurtz also was part of the Legacy team that claimed two national titles and she is bringing that experience to the varsity squad at Milford, where the Mavericks are hitting a high percentage. She's a highly consistent and athletic setter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1007121' first='Brielle' last='Eveland'], Lowell/FaR Out: </strong>Eveland has been put into a leadership position right away for Lowell and she's handling it well. She shows high court IQ while being able to make a lot of athletic plays and get the best out of her hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='922119' first='Reese' last='Berryman'], Marian/Michigan Elite: </strong>Berryman can play the right side as well as set, but her setting has helped her standout as one of the top prospects in this class. She's getting to work with a lot of talent at Marian, which is only going to keep taking her play to higher levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1043334' first='Kendall' last='Anderson'], Rockford/FaR Out: </strong>Anderson has been getting some time running the Rockford offense, working with a lot of young hitters that are getting better each week. Anderson makes good decisions and pushes herself to make aggressive plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Other Setters to Watch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1011275' first='Hadley' last='Bogden'], Ida/Michigan Elite: </strong>A setter/hitter combo player, Bogden shows a lot of explosiveness in her play and does a good job of being deceptive with her decisions. She's got good length at 5'10” and has a high ceiling for where she can take her play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='995250' first='Reagan' last='Darga'], Hartland/Legacy:</strong> Darga shows a lot of promise in all areas of the game. Her sets are accurate and show good touch, while her defensive play and serving can also make an impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='937736' first='Taelyn' last='Noe'], Mattawan/FaR Out: </strong>Noe plays with a lot of heart and determination, which shows in her ability to make some gritty defensive plays. She brings good energy and looks comfortable leading a strong offense as a freshman.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1043330' first='Janie' last='Osness'], Gabriel Richard/Huron Valley: </strong>Gabriel Richard has a lot of underclassmen on the roster, but Osness is doing a great job of elevating the hitting talent with her play. She's among the setting leaders in the state, not just in the class of 2030, this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1043331' first='Emma' last='Stuckey'], Berrien Springs: </strong>Another freshman that is putting up big assist numbers already in the fall, Stuckey is also dealing with a lot of young hitters. Berrien Springs is stringing together wins thanks to her play, both as a setter, and as a defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
