The State Rankings release is here!!! We have unveiled the top 83 players in this latest publishing of the 2029 class. We have been watching the 2029 class very closely throughout the entire club & high school season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up in the rankings due to their individual performances.

Leading your team in kills as a freshman is one thing. Doing it with 395 kills and 323 digs in the same season while your program reaches the UIL state final is another conversation entirely. She delivered 17 kills and 15 digs in a state semifinal match against Frisco Liberty when the season was on the line and her team needed production from its best player. Third Team All-State as a freshman followed and my fellow scouts and I confirmed her as a true six-rotation player whose serve receive and back row contributions match the offensive output. The length she brings to the left pin creates a contact point that gives the defense very few reliable answers and at 6'2" that problem only grows as her technique continues to develop. Her ability to handle serves and stay disciplined in the back row throughout a full match is the quality that earns trust from a coaching staff and keeps her on the floor when lesser outside hitters would be substituted out. Ranked in the top ten overall in the Texas 2029 class, the direction of her trajectory is not a question and the production backing that ranking is already substantial for a player who has not yet reached her junior year. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Jersey number nine. USA Girls U17 National Team. Gold medal. Those three facts define what [player_tooltip player_id='952579' first='Grace' last='Hengler'] accomplished this summer at the FIVB World Championship in Santiago, Chile, where she played libero on a team that went 9-0 and never dropped a set. The defensive instincts and floor presence required to hold that position on a national roster do not develop overnight and the ranking movement she earned this update reflects how far ahead of her class year those instincts already are. Her Prep Dig profile lists her as both outside hitter and libero which speaks to the all-around athleticism and ball control that got her on a national team in the first place. I have seen it first hand as this past club season she starred as an undersized outside hitter playing up in the Open division all season. The defensive reading ability she shows before a hitter contacts the ball and the first-step commitment that follows are the technical qualities that made her indispensable to a team that won every set it played this summer. College coaches evaluating the 2029 class who have not yet seen her compete in person need to build that into their fall evaluation schedule immediately. This is a player whose credentials now extend well beyond the state of Texas. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

The jump set she employs creates a quick tempo that keeps the block from loading up and she does not hesitate to use it. I have watched her compete at the national level and specifically admire her boldness in decision-making and the control she brings to the offense even when the pass makes her job harder than it should be. At 5'10" the release point she generates adds a deception element that most setters in the class of 2029 simply cannot produce and when she rotates to the right side the same athleticism translates into a legitimate attacking threat. The chemistry she builds with hitters she is meeting for the first time is quick and genuine, reflecting a setter who communicates with purpose and earns trust through consistency. Ranked 51st overall in the Texas 2029 class, she is a dual-position player whose impact on an offensive system goes well beyond what any single statistic captures. The ranking she has earned is not her ceiling and the college programs that have been watching the 2029 setter class in Texas need to make sure her name is near the top of their evaluation lists. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.
