The State Rankings release is here!!! We have unveiled the top 83 players in this latest publishing of the 2029 class. We have been watching the 2029 class very closely throughout the entire club & high school season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up in the rankings due to their individual performances.

This past summer she stood on a podium in Santiago, Chile with a gold medal around her neck as part of a USA Girls U17 National Team that went 9-0 through the FIVB World Championship without dropping a single set. She came home and immediately picked up where she left off, posting 17 kills in a district win just yesterday. The sophomore hitting percentage sits at .365, up from a .331 freshman season that produced 721 kills and MaxPreps freshman All-American honors. Our scouts have called her an outside point-scoring machine and nothing about the production she continues to generate suggests that description needs to be revised. At 6'0" with a swing that generates real authority at contact, she creates a contact point that defenses plan around rather than simply react to. Her serve receive is reliable enough that she stays on the floor in all six rotations and her back row presence adds a layer to her value that the kill totals alone do not capture. The ranking conversation around [player_tooltip player_id='952568' first='Peyton' last='Smith-Johnson'] is a long way from its final chapter and the college programs that have not yet engaged with her recruitment are running out of time to be early. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Twenty-eight kills. Fourteen digs. Six aces. Two solo blocks. That was just the other night against Marcus. Before that it was 19 kills against Lewisville and 15 kills with five aces in another performance. She leads her team in kills per set at 4.2 and in aces with 62 on the season while hitting .331. Many publications have her as a five-star recruit and our scouts at Prep Dig have noted the cannon she possesses for a right arm, which the box scores confirm on a weekly basis. She plays both outside hitter and right side which gives the offense a dangerous option at either pin and creates matchup problems that a defensive scheme has to account for before the first serve is even contacted. The serving weapon she brings to the line is not a secondary tool. With 62 aces through the fall season it is one of the most impactful offensive contributors she provides beyond her attacking production. Ranked 15th overall in the Texas 2029 class, she is one of the more statistically dominant sophomores in the state at any position and the ranking she holds will not stay this low for long. If she continues to progress, she could easily earn a top ten spot soon. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Two credentials from this summer stand out. She won gold at the FIVB Girls U17 World Championship with the USA National Team and has also been named MVP of the 14 Open division at USAV GJNC. Those are not regional accomplishments. They are national ones and they belong to a player who has been earning them since she was competing at 13 Open. I have ranked her third overall and the top libero in the Texas 2029 class and specifically noted she looks born to play the position. Her 4.9 digs per set career average reflects a player who is almost always in the right place before the ball gets there, which is the defining quality of an elite back row defender at any level. The platform mechanics she brings to first contact give her setter location rather than just a ball to work with and that detail separates productive liberos from truly impactful ones. The ranking movement is the right recognition at the right time and the 2029 class nationally should be paying attention to what she does this fall. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.
