Six-rotation outsides, physical attackers, and players becoming more consistent point scorers are emerging as the season moves along. If you still need a pin in 2028, North Dakota has options. Here are several players gaining momentum in the rankings and making a stronger case for what they're putting on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='725601' first='Mya' last='Glandt'] may not be the biggest outside hitter in the 2028 class, but her game gives you plenty of reasons to keep watching. She plays bigger than her size at the pin and competes through the entire rally. What stands out is that her value goes beyond just getting kills. Glandt stays involved through serve, receive, defense, and transition, then gets back into position as an attacking option. Offensively, I like the confidence she is showing taking swings against a formed block instead of constantly looking for the perfect set. Glandt brings an interesting skill set to the 2028 class for programs that value ball control and players who can remain on the floor.

At 6'0", [player_tooltip player_id='744540' first='Macie' last='Vig'] immediately gives college coaches some size to work with, but it is the versatility that makes her more compelling. Vig has experience at both outside and middle, which allows her to attack from different locations along the net. I like her length at contact and her potential to become a difficult matchup as she gets more comfortable at the pin. When she moves her feet to the ball and reaches high, she can put some weight behind her swing. Her frame also has blocking upside. For coaches looking for size without being locked into one front-row position, Vig is a 2028 prospect I would keep tracking.

[player_tooltip player_id='773809' first='Aria' last='Ryg'] brings a motor that shows up in every part of her game. She works hard in transition, stays available, and wants the ball when she gets to the pin. At 5'10", Ryg also brings size and the versatility to work across the front row. She isn't afraid of a tough swing and will challenge the block rather than simply send the ball over. There's an aggressive side to her offense that gives her room to score in different situations. Size, versatility, and a willingness to compete make Ryg an intriguing 2028 pin for college coaches to keep on their recruiting board.

[player_tooltip player_id='745913' first='Kendal' last='Ray'] is a playmaker with the athleticism to make some big things happen at the pin. She is explosive off the floor, gets up, and can put serious pace on the ball. What separates Ray, though, are the plays that aren't easy. She can turn a broken play or an out-of-system ball into a scoring opportunity and isn't afraid to challenge a formed block when her team needs a point. That same competitiveness carries into the rest of her game. She covers ground, stays involved, and has a knack for being around the ball when a play needs to be made. Ray has an extra gear, and that playmaking ability makes her one of the 2028 pins college coaches need to know.

[player_tooltip player_id='834301' first='Kinsey' last='Middlestead'] brings a high-level attacking presence to the pin. She plays aggressively, gets on the ball, and can score against a set block instead of needing a clean window. Middlestead does a nice job working the hands, changing her attack when the angle closes, and staying dangerous when the set gets pushed off the net. She can handle the tough ball and still give her team a chance to score, which is an important piece when looking at how a pin translates to the next level. Middlestead has the offensive tools and point-scoring ability that should draw college coaches' attention to this 2028 pin.

[player_tooltip player_id='813367' first='Evalyn' last='Selzler'] brings an aggressive presence to the pin and isn't afraid to go after a big swing. She gets her feet to the ball, attacks with pace, and can challenge a block when it's lined up in front of her. Selzler also has more than one way to score. She'll work the hands, find open court, and stay aggressive when the set isn't exactly where she wants it. That ability to adjust and still be an offensive threat gives her another layer as an outside. Selzler has the attacking tools and confidence that make her a 2028 pin college coaches should be tracking.

[player_tooltip player_id='745942' first='Lila' last='Pladson'] gives college coaches a lot to work with as a six-rotation pin. She brings an aggressive swing at the net, will challenge the block, and can adjust when the set gets pushed off the net. What adds another level to her game is what she brings behind the attack. Pladson can handle serve, receive, and defend and then get back into transition, ready to be an option again. She stays involved from one contact to the next and brings a competitive presence throughout the rally. For coaches looking for a 2028 outside who can bring offense without giving up the ball-control side of the position, Pladson is a name that belongs on the recruiting board.

Thank you, readers, for making this journey possible.
