This past summer she stood on a podium in Santiago, Chile with a gold medal around her neck as part of a USA Girls U17 National Team that went 9-0 through the FIVB World Championship without dropping a single set. She came home and immediately picked up where she left off, posting 17 kills in a district win just yesterday. The sophomore hitting percentage sits at .365, up from a .331 freshman season that produced 721 kills and MaxPreps freshman All-American honors. Our scouts have called her an outside point-scoring machine and nothing about the production she continues to generate suggests that description needs to be revised. At 6’0″ with a swing that generates real authority at contact, she creates a contact point that defenses plan around rather than simply react to. Her serve receive is reliable enough that she stays on the floor in all six rotations and her back row presence adds a layer to her value that the kill totals alone do not capture. Peyton Smith, A dominating 6 rotation hitter for Duncanville High. She is strong, smart, and confident in her game. Clearly a go to offensive option for her team, with the ability to play effective defense on the opposite side of the ball. Peyton is explosive behind the ball, delivering difficult shots to her opponents and working angles to take out the setters any chance she gets showing her IQ and court awareness.While it is early in the season, and in her high school career, there is no doubt, Peyton Smith is going to be a big threat across the net.

Payton Smith-Johnson, Madfrog 15N Green’s outside machine this morning! An early pool has no effect on her, as she came out the gates elevating and swinging. Getting well above the block and swinging to score, aided her team in getting ahead early in play. As a six rotation player, she is dominant from all over the court. Able to be a threat from anywhere with her strong and dynamic swing. Also, pulling the block anytime she is heard, opening the floor for other scoring opportunities among her teammates. She is a definite must see as the weekend progresses.

Please welcome Peyton Smith-Johnson Peyton Smith-Johnson 6'0" | OH Duncanville | 2029 State TX to the State Ranking List. We have her currently listed as the sixth best player in the 2029 class. She is a 6’0″ six rotation monster pin attacker who stars at Duncanville High School and also for MadFrog Volleyball Club. I think everyone in the great state of Texas was put on notice this past high school season when we were introduced to the point scoring machine at Duncanville. She burst onto the scene as a freshman and by the time she finishes her senior year she will undoubtedly hold the record for most kills in four years at her school. Not only is her frame physically imposing but she moves so gracefully on the court thanks to some incredible footwork. After watching her compete against some of the best teams in the country at both the Tour of Texas and the Triple Crown NIT, it is safe to say that this ranking has been truly earned. There is no doubt that she has all the tools to improve it over the next few years as well. We will be watching very closely as she continues to let the entire nation know that she has arrived.
