Who should be the top-ranked player for the first 2029 rankings?

One of the reasons some scouts do not rank classes until after the sophomore seasons is because some are not able to display their talents until then as the result of playing for a deep team. Things begin to take shape after that point in careers as well. These five are some of the leading candidates to take the top spot in the initial rankings to be released in December.   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-crowdsignal wp-block-embed-crowdsignal"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://poll.fm/17505516 </div></figure>    Moore (pictured) has a great combination of size and athleticism to put pressure on opposing defenses. Moore sees the court and shoves balls open spots. She controls the net in different ways. She has tough gap shots and hard line shots. Moore uses that size and a great vertical jump to rise over double blocks and pound balls to the ground. Moore tools blocks and sends sound off shots to the back row. Moore mixes in soft tips over blocks to keep defenses guessing.     The Lions have done a great job taking full advantage of Cabell's versatility. Cabell contributes in every statistical category. Cabell runs an efficient offense and takes quality swings both in and out of system. Cabell hits to open spots on the court on second touches and pounds overpassed balls away from opponents. Cabell puts sharp balls to deep corners and makes the simple passes. Cabell executes bump and overhead passes and lunges under control to keep plays alive. She brings excitement to the court each game and that spreads to her teammates. Cabell has 454 assists, 204 digs, 51 aces, 45 assisted blocks, four solo blocks and 60 kills on the season for the Lions.     When the Lions need a big kill, Mark terminates balls in a number of ways. Mark sends balls screaming to the floor with a solid downward trajectory. Mark executes pipes to near textbook. Mark flies in off fakes on go routes and pounds balls to the floor. Mark gets on top of balls and puts over tough crosses. Mark executes solid cut shots from the front and back row and does a good job tooling blocks. Mark has 243 kills with a .318 hitting percentage to go with 28 aces and 143 digs.     Malone is a playmaker all over the court. Malone has a quick arm swing and gets on top of balls to send them smoking to the ground. Malone uses her high attack point to hit over and around blocks. A quick vertical jump makes it difficult for opponents to rise up and block her. Malone also makes a number of sound two to three-point first touches to jumpstart the offensive rhythm.     Teams set her high to take advantage of her size and high attack point. She has a great arm swing, using it to smoke balls to the ground with a solid downward trajectory. She attacks seams with precision and her vertical jump lets her rise up before double blocks can form. Malone hits so well that even sound defensive specialists have a difficult time digging her up.     Keith has developed some great work habits from a young age and carried them onto the court in high school. Keith has a great connection with Webb's setter and uses her size and strength to diversify her hits. Keith tools blocks and deposits ones to different zones on the court. Keith smacks crosses off back sets into seams and creates a lot of things off sound four-step attack approaches. Keith has a nice .314 hitting percentage with 148 kills and 58 digs.     Minton more than helps the Red Raiders control the net in different ways. Minton pounds down overpassed balls with authority and uses her quick arm swing to deposit balls to different parts of the court, especially on short sets. Minton sees the court well and smacks balls to shallow open side lines when they are open. Minton has an outstanding vertical jump and uses it to hit balls over and around blocks. Minton is a sound solo blocker and works well with teammates to form solid double blocks.
