This is a position where every match can tell you something new. How do they handle a tough pass? Who do they trust when a point gets tight? Can they change tempo, find the right matchup and keep their hitters involved? These setters have already given us reasons to know their names, and this season we'll get a much better look at what each one can bring to an offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1023044' first='Susie' last='Schuneman'] is a setter I'm excited to get more looks at this season. She has a nice feel for the position, gets herself squared to the target, and can put a hittable ball in the hands of her attackers. I like that she can work different areas of the net when the first contact is there. Watch what Schuneman can do when she's pushed off the net and has to turn a tough pass into something her hitters can still attack. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022299' first='Emme' last='Simmons'] finds her rhythm and really gets the offense moving. She works well underneath the ball and gives her hitters a chance to be aggressive, but it's the tempo and connection that I'm interested in seeing more of this season. When Simmons gets comfortable with the hitters around her, she can keep the ball moving and make the defense work to figure out where she's going next. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1021733' first='Natalie' last='Decurtins'] is a fun setter to have on this 2030 watchlist because there is more to her game than simply putting up a hittable ball. She can distribute, use different options, and make decisions that keep more than one attacker involved. As the speed of the game picks up, watch how Decurtins reads what is available and works to find the matchup she wants. That setter IQ will be an important piece to follow this season. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022933' first='Brenna' last='Halvorson'] gives you a setter who can make something happen even when the first ball isn't perfect. She works to get herself to the pass, stays composed, and gives her hitters a chance to take a swing instead of letting a broken play end there. That ability to handle the second contact can be a big piece for an offense. Halvorson has plenty to show this season, especially as she gets opportunities to change tempo and work the entire net. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1022293' first='Ashlee' last='Bindenagel'] has the opportunity to be a really interesting setter to follow this season. She shows a feel for running the offense and understanding that the best option isn't always the most obvious one. Whether it's going back to a hitter, changing the tempo, or moving the ball somewhere the defense isn't expecting, different pieces of her setting game can create opportunities. I'll be watching Bindenagel as she gets more chances to take control of the offense. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Thank you to all my readers for making this journey possible.
