There are certain young players who make you double-check their graduation year when you watch them play, and this group of 2030 pins has done exactly that. They're being asked to handle bigger roles, compete against older players, and make plays you don't always expect to see this early. What has put them on my watchlist isn't one big swing or one good match; it's how they compete, how they handle the net, and the confidence they're already showing against more experienced competition. We're still early with this 2030 class, but these pins are giving us plenty of reasons to start talking about them now.

I've tracked [player_tooltip player_id='882500' first='Brynlie' last='Saxlund'] for quite a while, and her game continues to look advanced for a young pin. She plays with control offensively and doesn't look like a hitter who believes every ball has to be put straight down. Saxlund can stay aggressive while recognizing what the block and defense are giving her, and I like her confidence in taking swings when the set isn't perfect. She has spent years getting quality touches and competing at a high level, and it shows in how she sees and handles the game. There is a maturity to her offensive game that has kept her high on my list in this 2030 class. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='965017' first='Isla' last='Anderson'] has caught my attention with the way she attacks the pin. She plays aggressively, gets herself available in transition, and isn't afraid to take a full swing when the opportunity is there. What I want from young attackers is more than a hard arm, though, and Anderson is beginning to show an understanding of how to work through different situations at the net. She stays involved in the rally and looks for another opportunity instead of letting one touch determine the point. Those are good habits to already see developing from a 2030 attacker. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1047528' first='Kierstin' last='Klabo'] brings a nice combination of athleticism and court awareness to the pin. I like how she works through a rally and keeps herself ready offensively rather than waiting for the perfect ball to come her way. Klabo is learning to handle different sets, make adjustments and still find a productive swing when the offense gets pushed out of system. That ability to problem-solve is something I pay attention to with young attackers. The physical side will continue to develop, but she is already showing some of the volleyball IQ you want behind it. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

[player_tooltip player_id='1004005' first='Lucy' last='Stansbery'] brings a lot to like at the pin, especially in how she approaches the offensive side of the game. She is aggressive when she gets a hittable ball, but she isn't just swinging to swing. Stansbery is starting to see what's available across the net and make better decisions with the ball, which stands out at this age. I also like her work getting back into transition and making herself available for another swing instead of watching the play develop around her. There is purpose to what she is doing at the pin, and that is what keeps catching my attention. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas
