Transition Attack Thursday: Class of 2030 Bringing the Heat

<p>The Class of 2030 is already giving us plenty to watch! From young middles making plays in transition to pin hitters bringing confidence and power, these athletes are starting to make their presence known. Transition attack is all about getting from defense back into scoring mode, and this group is showing plenty of exciting tools. Plus, with freshmen continuing to gain confidence, there is a lot of potential to follow as the season moves forward!</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1012932' first='Grace' last='Cox'], MB, Class of 2030, 6'0"</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Cox is a young middle who is already catching our attention! At 6'0", she brings high reach and plenty of potential to the net. However, one of the most impressive parts of her game is how smoothly she moves from passing into attacking. Seeing a middle in this class handle that transition so well is exciting! Additionally, Cox moves well across the net and brings a heavy, snappy arm to her attack. Her reach can make an impact in multiple phases of the game, giving her plenty of ways to contribute. She is a name we are excited to keep watching as she continues to develop!</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1037742' first='Josie' last='Arp'], RS, Class of 2030</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Arp is bringing confidence and quickness to the right side! Her fast approach helps her get into position and attack angles along the pin. As a young hitter, she is already showing an ability to put pressure on opposing defenses. On top of that, Arp attacks with confidence and looks comfortable taking her swings. That combination of quick movement and assertiveness is exciting to see from a player in the Class of 2030. She is already making noise, and we are looking forward to seeing how her game continues to grow!</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1007762' first='Brynley' last='Layton'], OH, Class of 2030, 5'6"</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">We featured Layton in our July Transition Attack Thursday, but this is a name worth revisiting! At 5'6", she proves that impact comes from more than height alone. Layton brings value across all six rotations and continues to show how much she can do on the court. Her pass-to-attack game is a major strength. She transitions smoothly and finds ways to turn opportunities into points. Meanwhile, her ability to contribute in every rotation makes her a player who can stay involved throughout a match. We love watching Layton gain traction, and she is bringing the heat once again this Thursday!</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='1021457' first='Madeline' last='Roberts'], OH, Class of 2030, 6'0</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Roberts is a freshman name starting to make waves! She brings energy to the net and continues to build confidence as she settles into the high school game. That growing comfort is exciting to see, especially as she works to turn her attacking ability into a consistent weapon. Meanwhile, Roberts has experience and firepower to build on from club volleyball. Now, the fun part is watching that confidence carry over to the high school court. As she gains more opportunities and continues to develop, we are excited to see what comes next for this young outside hitter!</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Next Wave Is Here</h2>   <p>These four athletes bring different strengths, but they share one thing in common: they are names worth keeping on the radar! Cox brings reach and an impressive transition game, while Arp attacks with quickness and confidence. Layton continues to prove her all-around value, and Roberts is building momentum as a young outside hitter.</p>   <p>The Class of 2030 is already making its mark in Colorado volleyball.
