The Tigers had the chance to win the two-day Jefferson County Invitational in Louisville at the Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy after finishing runner-up last year. Beechwood won the five best-of-three set games not dropping a set either day to claim the crown.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The tournament featured 17 teams including Class 2A state champion Whitley County, seven-time 12th Region champion West Jessamine, McCracken County and Conner. Lewandowski uses the proper form on her attack approaches, gets on top of balls and takes solid swings in the middle and pins. Lewandowski makes solid in-air adjustments to send solid off shots to far corners. Lewandowski tools blocks and shoves balls to open side lines. Her blocking is so solid opponents can't go soft on her. Reynolds has a high attack point and takes solid swings. Reynolds tools blocks and makes good adjustments to find holes on the court. She has meshed well with her teammates and made a number of contributions trying to move the Ballard program forward. Rogers is as explosive as usual on the pins. Rogers leaps up on go routes, gets on top of balls and delivers remarkable power on balls with a stout downward trajectory. Rogers has an outstanding wrist snap. Rogers puts over hard crosses and sharp line swings. Her court IQ is off the charts. She is hard to defend because she releases a variety of shots from the pins and middle including cut shots. Her defense continues to be remarkable as well. Crutcher takes minimal steps to balls then delivers precision passes to setters. She consistently makes quality first touches on balls so the dynamic setter can put Whitley County's solid hitters in position to put balls down. Collier is an all-out hustler on defense.
