Five Solid 2027 Setters/Defensive Specialists to Watch

Whittinghill mainly sets, but does add a dynamic to the Greenwood offense with her left-handed swings. She sends nice shots down the line on nines. Whittinghill involves a number of hitters and has improved her decision making. Whittinghill turns her body nicely and puts across nice setter dumps. Hurt brings great versatility to Metcalfe County. Hurt stars her jump before balls come to her to get more touch on her sets and does not lock her arms. Hurt consistently hits targers and executes nice fakes with numerous hitters. Hurt executes a variety of sets including back sets and has a deceptive setter dump. She shoves balls to side lines and digs up balls with one arm, providing nice net backup. Brassell has smooth touches on her sets and does not lock her arms. Brassell makes the most of out of system sets and has a great connection with setters. She is expecially tough on fours. Brassell sends over hard line drive serves. Reynoso steps to balls and uses a solid platform to dig up balls. She sets up nicely behind blocks and puts great touch on balls. Pelfrey hustles hard after balls. She gets to setter dumpt to keep plays alive. Pelfrey swings her arms out trying to get to balls and provides quality net backup. Pelfrey makes the simple passes and handles well-struck balls.
