Lansing Area Prospects Taking Center Stage In 2026

MH/RS Owosso</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brock popped up on the radar this year for showing flashes of real potential while playing with Owosso. The 6'2” hitter has gotten better with each week and is seeing her finishing rate improving. She's also a factor with her blocking. As she gets more reps, Brock could be a real breakout talent in the Lansing area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='991164' first='Delainey' last='Buchanan'], So. S DeWitt</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Panthers have looked balanced on offense this year and that is a credit to the sophomore setter. She's been able to utilize a lot of options for nearly 500 assists on the season and she's already over 1,300 for her short prep career. Buchanan is also a big contributor on defense and from the service line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='808281' first='Acelynn' last='Hensley'], Sr. DS/L Mason</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bulldogs are getting contributions from a lot of players this season, especially on offense, which means the team is able to keep a smooth offense running. That's a credit to Hensley's ability to keep the ball off the floor and be consistent in serve receive and first contact. She's putting in the work to keep Mason competition in the Lansing area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='836980' first='Rachel' last='Kirk'], Sr. DS/L St. Johns</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kirk has been a reliable option in the back row for St. Johns for years and she's having her best season yet in her senior year. She's already put up over 330 digs and on pace to set a career high for digs in a season. She's already surpassed 1,180 in her career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='534475' first='Elle' last='Lorente'], Sr. OH Eaton Rapids</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The senior outside has looked really steady for Eaton Rapids this fall. She's consistent with her technique and delivers good pop on the ball with each swing. Her mechanics look effortless, but it's always a challenge to dig up her attacks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Addi Lott, Sr. DS/L Williamston</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lott just has a nose for the ball in the back row for the Hornets. She moves smoothly around the court, but always looks poised and in control. That allows her to time out dives and sprawls well to keep the ball off the floor. Lott is racking up some big dig numbers each week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='582308' first='Kendall' last='Michels'], Sr. S/RS Laingsburg</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Michels does a little bit of everything for Laingsburg and there isn't a weakness in her game. She's got great touch on her sets, is an accurate passer, a tough server, and a quality attacker. If there's a way to get it done, Michels will find how.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='815540' first='Kyria' last='Pairolero'], Sr. MH Bath</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bees are having a strong year and the 6'3” senior middle is a big reason why. She's been a monster on the block, being one of the state leaders when it comes to stuffing attacks. On the attack, Pairolero is hitting nearly .400 on the year, as she knows how to put the ball away when it comes her way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='810727' first='Allison' last='Scanlon'], Sr. MH Grand Ledge</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Comets are putting together a nice string of wins this season and the senior middle is making a difference for them in all three phases. Her hitting is consistent and she's one of the key blockers on the floor. Where Scanlon has also provided a boost is from the service line, where she's leading the team in aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='810445' first='Ahlanna' last='Thomas'], Jr. MH/OH Lakewood</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomas looks to be the real deal for the Vikings, as he length and ability to glide through the air lead to some devastating attacks for her opponents. Thomas commands her area and is racking up the kills this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888953' first='Kennedy' last='Thomas'], So. MH/OH East Lansing</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The sophomore was already on the radar, but she's really breaking out during her sophomore season. Thomas is putting the ball away anywhere along the net, and doing it at a high percentage. She's already put together a 30+ kill performance and nothing seems to be slowing her down.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='835029' first='Logan' last='Thomas'], Sr. OH Ionia</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rounding out the Thomas run in the Lansing area is Logan, a senior outside that leaves it all on the floor for Ionia. She's leading the team in kills, digs, and aces, over 220 in both aces and digs while recording over 55 aces on the season. Thomas is someone that is all over the floor and finding ways to make gritty plays.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='826916' first='Kyra' last='Vukovic'], Sr. MH Lansing Catholic</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vukovic is a looming presence at the net with her 6'4” length, but she's continued to improving on her timing and shot selection to become a dominant player on offense. Mix that in with the ability to disrupt nearly any shot, and Vukovic is someone that can take over a match.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
