Let's look at six current sophomores who have been busting their tails on and off the court and have put themselves in a great position to have an amazing year next year as upperclassmen.

[player_tooltip player_id='554318' first='Jentri' last='Denwalt']- Setter for MSM. Jenti is already an absolute stud and the highest ranked player in her class. Her size, athleticism, and IQ are a rare combination. She has already had two really solid years in high school but her junior year may just be her best! Her continued growth plus her high school team returning the vast majority of their offensive and defensive production is the perfect storm.

[player_tooltip player_id='982963' first='Samantha' last='Scott']- Setter for Heritage Hall. Samantha is in a similar boat. Her team had ZERO seniors on their state tournament roster. Her and her entire team will have a full year of growth under the belts. She is already a very talented player but the sky is the limit for her.

[player_tooltip player_id='905042' first='Harper' last='Horn']- Right Side Hitter for Cascia Hall. I had gotten to see Harper play in club a couple times and on opening day but she has grown leaps since those moments. The power in her swing, how available she is and how mature/calm she is on the court has gone up substantially. Look for her next year to really help give even more firepower to Cascia Hall.

[player_tooltip player_id='940697' first='Ivorie' last='Baker']- Middle blocker for Claremore. Ivorie is a transfer from Owasso and had a full year of growth at Claremore. She really got to shine at the state tournament. She hit nearly a .300 coming off the bench and made some crutial plays. She showed she has a high ceiling and playing for Virago Elite again this club season may just be what really has her ready for junior year!

[player_tooltip player_id='944500' first='Jaliyah' last='Cavitt']- Setter/Right Side Hitter for BTW. Jaliyah had a great season for BTW. She was a star on the JV team but showed plenty of bright moments. Her ability to set, hit and pass makes her very versatile. The Hornets may have the ability to run a 6-2 with her, with both setters also hitting right side. Keep an eye on her and BTW in 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='899732' first='Dennise' last='Shaw']- Middle Blocker for Carl Albert. Dennise absolutely exploded on the scene this year. She had multiple huge swings and some thunderous blocks. She is a sparkplug for the Titans. Her athleticism is next level. Give her another year to develop her skills further and she will be a legit problem in the middle for teams.
