Since it is almost time for Halloween, these volleyball players have been "killin it" on the court all season long. If you have not heard of these junior attackers, please put their name on your list of players to recruit. They entered their junior year of high school with one mission…to lead their team to victory with some big kills at the net. Texas is arguably one of the best offensive states in the nation and if you are leading the thousands of players here in any statistical category, that says a lot. Let's take a look at the following junior kill leaders from the Lone Star State.

Few juniors in Texas carry a heavier load than [player_tooltip player_id='1053191' first='Caroline' last='Doerre']. She has taken 1,242 swings this season, more than any other player in the top six of the junior kill chart. All that work has produced 483 kills at 4.5 per set. Volume like that takes a resilient arm and real toughness. She hit .252 through the first half of the season while leading her team in kills per set. She is also a factor in the back row and has been one of her team's top diggers all season. Against Ball she posted 19 kills with 14 digs. She also led her team with four aces in a sweep of Texas City while adding 16 kills. A week later she went for 13 kills and 12 digs with four aces at Angleton to keep her team in the playoff race. She attacks with a quick arm and does a good job turning the ball to the deep corner when the set comes off the net. As her efficiency keeps climbing she has a chance to be one of the most productive six rotation outsides in the state by her senior year. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Fifty point two. That is [player_tooltip player_id='531615' first='Aleah' last='Edmond']'s kill percentage this season...the best mark among the top six juniors in Texas. She has 478 kills in only 96 sets and averages 5.0 per set. The 6'0" pin plays all six rotations and attacks from both the left and right side during certain serve receive formations. She dropped 31 kills with 14 digs in a recent win over Wakeland. As a sophomore she put down 420 kills, and she is on pace to pass that total well before the playoffs. Her resume is as deep as anyone's in the 2028 class. She is a TGCA All-State selection and a two time first team all district pick who started as a freshman. She has taken part in the USA Volleyball NTDP and earned All-American Club honors. She has also been a Prep Dig Showcase Top Performer as I have watched her grow up close. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Piper had 139 kills as a freshman. Two seasons later she has 476 and counting. That kind of growth tells you a lot about the work she has put in. The junior outside is averaging 4.1 kills per set and was hitting above .320 earlier this fall. She is a complete player who stays on the floor in every rotation. Against Cedar Creek she had 15 kills and 16 digs to go with four aces. Even in a loss to Anderson she put up 19 kills and 14 digs. Her arm is quick and her shot selection is smart for a junior and she rarely forces a swing into a closed block. She adds a presence at the net as well, with a solo block in wins over both Cedar Creek and LASA. She was named an Austin area Athlete of the Week last fall. She is closing in on 1,000 career kills with her senior season still ahead. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.
