Anderson and her team have upheld the Vikings' high standards this fall, hoping to see the Lincoln spotlight for the first time in a few years. Northwest's senior middle blocker recently committed to Omaha Concordia, building upon the club momentum she gained with [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] this spring. Anderson has already soared into triple-digit kill territory in her final prep season, and she has brought a 0.300-plus hitting percentage along with it. Those termination numbers often precede postseason success.

We've had plenty of run-ins with Mejstrik on the club side, where her high-flying style became a huge hit with the Lightning 17s squad. She's now back in action with Columbus Lakeview to maintain her status as one of Nebraska's most efficient middle blockers. Mejstrik has retained the near-0.300 scoring clip she attained as a freshman. She is most effective on 'gap' plays away from the setter, even if two opposing blockers are dedicated to slowing it down. Lakeview's hot start will put the Vikings firmly in the Class B race.

Adams Central's transition to Class B is off to a roaring start. The Patriots have battled to a 13-4 mark while wielding plenty of front-row firepower in every rotation. Barber makes an immediate impact when she patrols the net, teeing off on any tempo in front of the setter. She joins a host of Adams Central upperclassmen hovering around a 0.300 attacking percentage this year, and Barber's output should escalate further before the postseason gauntlet.

This fall's Omaha Skutt Catholic lineup looks a lot different than last year's, but Bartholet has helped uphold the SkyHawk tradition of elite volleyball. The Bison have looked to their sophomore to provide clutch sideout scoring in the frontcourt and well-rounded distribution in the back row. This setter-opposite does it all. Porter's athleticism and defensive instincts may make her a six-rotation signal-caller in future seasons, but her dual role works, too.

Why not take this conversation over to the 'B side'?

Our coverage of Nebraska's emerging prep stars has jumped all over the map. We highlighted a few midseason stars from the small-town scene before pivoting to big-city standouts in the Class A ranks. The urban focus gets even broader as we turn toward Class B.

It's no mystery that Class B boasts about as many recognizable volleyball powerhouses as Class A. We see a ton of compelling crossover competitions between these two classes, and the lines between qualifications keep blurring. So, a separate feature is warranted for the Class B crew.

Here are a few names on our radar as we approach the October grind.

Sydney Bartholet

State: Nebraska
School: Omaha Skutt Catholic
Club: Premier Nebraska Volleyball

This fall's Omaha Skutt Catholic lineup looks a lot different than last year's, but Bartholet has helped uphold the SkyHawk tradition of elite volleyball. She's exceptionally efficient on quick sets to the right side, using her burst off the floor to get ahead of opposing defenses. Bartholet has also helped catalyze SkyHawk scoring runs through her quality block touches against left sides. She is on the way to eclipsing 100 kills and will go much further through the final month of the season.
