The second day of any tournament is about rebounding from a tough first day if not building on a solid first day. The Northern Kentucky 14 and 15 Tsunami teams came back and executed better after not winning any games the first day. The 14 team won all three games on the second day at the Indianapolis Convention Center to remain in contention for the gold bracket in the 14 USA bracket and 15 won both games in 15 Open action.

Schalk (pictured) gives the 14 Tsunami consistent play at the libero spot. Schalk does a good job squaring her arms to the targets and trails plays with a purpose. She's developed good mental toughness before entering high school. Schalk bounces back from mistakes quickly. She puts across a nice jump float serve to different zones.

Sathe tools blocks and uses her off (left) hand to surprise opponents with soft touches to the shallow zones. Sathe puts down overpassed balls with authority and tools blocks for big points. Sathe also works well with teammates to form sound double blocks.

Richard is learning how to use her height to make plays at all six spots on the court. Richard makes sound first touches and sends free balls over with a purpose. She is reliable on offense. Richard tools blocks, gets on top of balls then puts solid power into them. Richard does a great job attacking seams regularly. She does need some work on her passing, but that will come with more repetitions.
