Elite Nebraska 2029s On Our Rankings Radar after GJNC (Pt. 2)

We have no shortage of Nebraska 2029s to discuss after all the Great Plains Region representation we had at USAV Nationals. This postseason event is the perfect stage for athletes to cement their elite status and build momentum for the next high school season. The Class of 2029 still has a few prep campaigns left, but a few of Nebraska's rising sophomores are already distinguishing themselves.   That also means we're due for our first set of Nebraska 2029 rankings. We don't have any set plans for how large this list will be, but the group of candidates is stacked. Part 1 of this series already highlighted a few names, but we're back for more GJNC standouts in this one.    Hansen adds to the extraordinary group of 15s pin hitters making moves with Premier Nebraska. She's a fluid, natural athlete who can adjust to any ball within her hitting window. Her patented roll shots into the campfire found the open floor throughout Premier Nebraska 15 Black's journey through GJNC's 15 National division. Hansen has logged plenty of high-level experience in 2026, from competing at Triple Crown NIT to sparring against Open-level teams in Indianapolis. It's the perfect launching pad for Hansen's early prep influence at Gretna East.     Clearly, many of Nebraska's elite 2029 setters gravitated to the 16s scene this year. Christiansen landed on our radar earlier than most of her peers after she helped last year's Premier Nebraska 15 Gold crew earn a 15 USA title. GJNC beckoned yet again for this Elkhorn North sophomore, but this one was in the Open ranks. Christiansen's quick foot speed and twitchy reflexes allow her to keep pace with the nation's best across the net. She can track down whatever pass she's given and maintain 16 Gold's up-tempo attack. This skill set should translate well to her prep tenure with last year's Class B runner-up.     Let's flip the rotational dial from Part 1 to find another one of South Central NE 15 Black's leading left-side hitters. Blauhorn answered the call for this year's small-town 15s crew, finding ways to make a positive impact in any rotation. Her serving rotation was particularly productive at GJNC, churning out critical scoring runs and a cascade of momentum. We caught a glimpse of this during Blauhorn's first year at Wood River, but the club season has brought a new wrinkle as we ponder the first ranked list for Nebraska's Class of 2029.     We've harped on the importance of gaining high-level experience, and Kaczor has quickly gained some leverage in this area. She broke onto Malcolm High School's veteran-laden varsity roster and took part in the team's Class C1 semifinal breakthrough. Kaczor seems to save her best for the late-season push, as she soared during VCN 15 Black's run at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. The final act was GJNC, where Kaczor and 15 Black earned VCN's highest divisional placement in Indianapolis. Full speed ahead for Year 2 with the Clippers.     There's that Northwest-VCN connection again. Bauer continues this trend and plays up a year to do it. She patrolled the net during VCN 16 Black's finest moments in 2026, including a bid-earning feat at the Northern Lights Qualifier. The team's upgrade to the 16 USA division allowed Bauer to hone her skills against exceptional frontcourts, and she fit right in at USAV Nationals. This is a past Prep Dig Showcase standout who consistently finds the spotlight in any venue.     Part 2 is rolling through a few of Nebraska's top-producing freshmen from last year's high school season. Ahlmann got on the board with nearly 300 total kills on a scorching 0.326 clip as a multi-position terminator for Norfolk. The rigors of Class A competition prepped Ahlmann for whatever was ahead in 2026 with Nebraska Elite 15 Apex. She flexed a ton of range in front of the setter while also bolstering her scouting report as an effective slide hitter. 15 Apex allowed Ahlmann to display her aptitude in both middle spots, helping her blocking prowess progress even further. The Panthers will surely rally around this well-rounded list of traits, adding to the win column in the meantime.     The Westview-Club Legacy pipeline delivers again. This combination has formed the core of Club Legacy's vaunted 15 Alpha lineup. That group produced some of the club's best moments in 2026, and Peatrowsky was a force every step of the way. Her 200-plus kill campaign in her debut prep season was hard to ignore, but this high-flying outside hitter brings influence beyond the stat sheet. Peatrowsky's hustle and effort were major trendsetters for 15 Alpha this year, culminating in a deep 15 Liberty run at USAV Nationals. We expect her to light up the scoring column again this fall, but don't overlook Peatrowsky's sheer will to win with the Wolverines.
