2027 Rank Risers Kicking Off their Senior Year

This club season had us on the edge of our seats, especially in the Class of 2027. We've followed this group closely throughout both the high school and club seasons, and they continue to raise the bar. This year's rankings saw several new additions, along with plenty of familiar faces who made significant jumps after impressive club campaigns.   With senior year now on the horizon, we're excited to see how this talented class continues to develop during one final high school season. If this club season was any indication, Arizona's 2027 class is loaded with players ready to make a statement.   We had many risers this round, but we had 10 that we wanted to cover as standouts.   Here are few players who are making waves heading into their senior year.    [player_tooltip player_id='778035' first='Kalista' last='Fuller'] earned her spot among the top 20 players in this incredibly talented class with the way she elevated her game throughout the club season. She was a major contributor to her team's success, playing a pivotal role in helping them secure an Open bid late in the year with her impactful front-row play.   She competes with relentless passion and grit, bringing an energy that elevates everyone around her. Her arm swing is explosive, generating impressive power, but what makes her especially dangerous is her volleyball IQ. She knows when to unleash a full swing and when to mix in a tip or roll shot to exploit a defense, making her a difficult attacker to defend. Her combination of physicality, competitiveness, and smart decision-making makes her one of the most exciting players in the Class of 2027. We're looking forward to seeing the impact she'll make during her senior season at Perry.     [player_tooltip player_id='845340' first='Cassidy' last='Armstrong'] made a strong push into the top 10 after an outstanding club season and has consistently climbed our rankings with every update. She continued to prove why she's one of Arizona's top setters, leading with confidence, communicating exceptionally well, and anchoring her team with relentless defense. Her composure in pressure-filled moments stood out all season, as she consistently made smart decisions and kept her offense operating at a high level.   Her leadership and steady play were instrumental in helping guide her team to a third-place finish in the Open division at USAV Nationals. We know that she's going to have an outstanding season at Millennium this year, and we can't wait to watch it all.     [player_tooltip player_id='827324' first='MaryElla' last='Owens'] has firmly established herself as one of Arizona's premier front-row attackers. Whether she's playing on the right side or in the middle, she consistently impacts matches with her physicality and versatility. She put together an outstanding club season with Arizona Storm 17 Alpha, helping lead the team to two national bids along the way.   Her arm swing is explosive, her blocking is disciplined and intentional, and she routinely challenges even the state's top attackers at the net. Beyond the statistics, MaryElla brings an undeniable presence to the court that elevates those around her. She's taken a significant step forward this season, and we're excited to see what she accomplishes during her senior year.     [player_tooltip player_id='885092' first='Elizabeth' last='Hackleman'] is one of the players we're most excited to watch this high school season. She put together an outstanding club campaign with EVJ, serving as both the team's setter and one of its most respected leaders. Her poise, confidence, and ability to steady her team in big moments were evident all season, and we expect that same leadership to shine throughout her senior year.   Elizabeth consistently delivers a clean, accurate ball, makes smart decisions under pressure, and possesses exceptional court IQ. She does an excellent job reading defenses, putting her hitters in advantageous situations, and running an offense that keeps opponents guessing. With her experience and command of the floor, she's poised for a standout senior season.     [player_tooltip player_id='881804' first='Addison' last='Bartnik'] played a pivotal role in AZ Sky's success this club season and continued to prove why she's one of Arizona's top middle blockers. One of the quickest middles in the state, she's a true offensive weapon who can terminate from anywhere along the front row. Her ability to connect on tempo sets, paired with her aggressive blocking and relentless defensive effort, makes her incredibly difficult to game plan against. What separates Addison is her versatility. As the serving middle, her team never skipped a beat defensively when the libero rotated out. She contributes in serve receive, plays quality floor defense, and impacts nearly every phase of the game.   Now transferring to Hamilton for her senior season, we're excited to see what she accomplishes before taking her talents to Northern Arizona University as a Lumberjack.     [player_tooltip player_id='827567' first='Olivia' last='Kauffman'] made one of the biggest jumps in our rankings this update after an outstanding club season. As a key piece of Arizona Sky 17 Gold—the only Arizona team to earn a top-three finish in the Open division at USAV Nationals—Olivia consistently made her presence felt on both sides of the net.   She was a force as a blocker, reading setters exceptionally well and matching up against some of the nation's top attackers with confidence. Offensively, she remained a reliable option, creating scoring opportunities and giving her team another dynamic weapon in transition. What impressed us most was the amount of growth she showed throughout the season. Olivia continued to elevate her game at every stop, and her improvement earned every bit of this jump in the rankings. We're excited to see her carry that momentum into her senior season at Horizon.     Camryn Thurston was the backbone of Arizona Storm 17 Alpha's backcourt all season, putting together one of the most consistent libero performances in the state. Time and time again, she showcased her ability to read high-level attacks, track down difficult balls, and keep rallies alive against some of the nation's toughest competition.   Her fearless defensive mindset, exceptional court awareness, and relentless pursuit made her a constant presence in the back row. She also did an outstanding job covering her hitters and bringing stability to her team's defense. Camryn embodies everything you look for in a libero—steady, reliable, and relentlessly competitive. We're excited to see what she'll accomplish during her senior season.     [player_tooltip player_id='822894' first='Brooklyn' last='Black'] was an absolute joy to watch this club season. She consistently made an impact with her dynamic slide attack, creating matchup problems and scoring efficiently throughout the year. Her speed in transition, commitment to staying available, and trust in her setter allowed her to be a constant offensive threat.   What stood out most was her ability to terminate with purpose. Brooklyn wasn't just swinging hard—she attacked with intention, placing the ball intelligently and making smart decisions in key moments. She competed with tremendous energy from start to finish and brought a high level of consistency to her team's front row. We're excited to see how she closes out an impressive career during her senior season.     [player_tooltip player_id='885554' first='Leilani' last='Alvarado'] put together an outstanding club season, continuing to establish herself as one of Arizona's premier all-around outside hitters. Her strong play with Arizona Storm 17 Lightning earned her another opportunity to compete at the USA High Performance program this summer.   Defensively, Leilani was exceptional. She covers a tremendous amount of court, reads the game well, and has the ball control to anchor a back row against elite competition. Offensively, she's just as dangerous. Her back-row attack is explosive, and she's always loaded and ready to score from the middle-back position, giving her team another weapon in every rotation.   Leilani impacts every phase of the game, and we're excited to see what she accomplishes during her final high school season.    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   School season is finally here, and we can't wait to see how this talented class continues to develop over the coming months.
