Here's the first part of our 2028 player evaluations from Sunday's event.

Alexandra Potter, S St. John's/DC Academy

This Maryland prospect made the journey over to Michigan to display her skills for a new audience and I was impressed with her resolve and aggressiveness. Potter was willing to take chances with her sets and pacing, and it paid off. It showed a lot of leadership and confidence that translated to her performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='771242' first='Keelyn' last='Wilson'], S Rochester Adams/Monsters

Wilson does a nice job of getting in good position to provide a steady set without much effort. The ball really pops off her hands nicely and she provides a set that her hitters were able to unload on. Wilson never looked rattled or fazed by the hectic pace.

[player_tooltip player_id='847397' first='Bridget' last='Wiggins'], DS/L Sacred Heart/Mid-Michigan Aces

Wiggins displayed the great leadership and communication skills we have seen from her before. She directs traffic very well in the back row, especially during frenzied play. Those skills also translate into a lot of high-quality defensive play. She's definitely one of the most consistent defenders in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='720520' first='Alexis' last='Donovan'], OH OLSM/High Performance

Donovan brings good length to the outside at 5'11” and she uses it well. Her wingspan and her ability to get off the floor allow her to play well above the blockers. She also has a smooth swing that doesn't slow down. She took a lot of reps, but the arm mechanics remained at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='895470' first='Hailey' last='Bober'], DS/L Johannesburg-Lewiston/Avalanche

Bober was one of the most engaged players in this event. She was locked in with each rep and her eyes were lasered in on the ball and where she needed to get. She made some impressive last-second adjustments to get accurate passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='728850' first='Emme' last='Dorchy'], OH Royal Oak/Michigan Elite

Dorchy maintained her high level of play throughout the Showcase. She could bring some of the loudest pops of the ball during the day, but also showed the savvy to play smart attacks when a big hit wasn't there for her. Dorchy displays a lot of focus and high IQ plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='991641' first='Madelynn' last='Rowe'], DS/L Hartland/Five:1

Rowe brought a lot of energy to the floor. She left it all on the court each time she got her opportunities and it lead to high-quality passes. Rowe had very active eyes, which helped her anticipate hitters and where the ball was going. She consistently found herself in good position and remained steady in her accuracy.

[player_tooltip player_id='874284' first='Gianna' last='Hughes'], MB Lakeview/Dead Frog

Hughes unfortunately suffered an injury in the early stages of the Showcase, but she was putting in a lot of work prior to that. She attacked the net and went hard for every 50/50 ball that came her way.

[player_tooltip player_id='995465' first='Zoe' last='Moulton'], RS Rudolf Steiner/L2

[player_tooltip player_id='995465' first='Zoe' last='Moulton'] understood the assignment. She made sure to make an impression and did so by being one of the most vocal, supportive, enthusiastic, and high-energy players at the Showcase. She then applied that to some strong stretches of play, both on the attack and on defense. If I had a team of all [player_tooltip player_id='995465' first='Zoe' last='Moulton']'s, I'd like my chances because nothing would keep them down.

[player_tooltip player_id='919364' first='Jayda' last='Guyton'], DS/L Renaissance/Michigan Elite

Guyton kept herself on the move and communicated well with her peers to keep the back row covered. She's quick on her feet and does a good job of adjusting her arm placement to give her setters a chance to keep the offense humming. Guyton had a consistently strong serve as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='743769' first='Joeleigh' last='White'], S Gull Lake/USA Michigan

White performed really well in an impressive group of setters. She was getting some of the best swings out of the hitters and immediately gelled with most of them. White just moves really smooth around the floor and never looks out of position.
