Aleeah’s early varsity responsibility is particularly interesting because she is learning these lessons while competing inside a strong lineup. She already shows the confidence to attack at varsity speed, but the most valuable part of this season may be learning when she does not need to overpower a rally.

For a young attacker, vision often develops after physical confidence. Seeing open court, recognizing late blockers and understanding when to roll, wipe or attack deep corners can dramatically expand a hitter’s effectiveness without requiring another inch of vertical or another mile per hour on the swing.
