Five 2028 Rankings Additions to See

A 6'1 middle, Rajavarma is a great piece for Ursuline and their effort in Division I this fall season. She adds depth to the middle phase that includes length that can score if needed and another viable defender at the net from pin to pin. This team has good offensive options and Rajavarma provides action in the middle, an area Ursuline likes to push. In their first win over Bishop Watterson, the Lions had balanced scoring as she contributed five kills while leading their defense with five blocks. Ursuline is definitely a team to watch as they battle through the tough GGCL and towards a state podium finish. Payne recently posted 10 kills for Beaumont in their match versus Lakewood. She is one of the more dynamic and active additions to the rankings and her progress this season will be watched closely as she can make things happen in the middle with her aggressive arm. She makes impressive effort to get off the net in transition to make herself available often, which benefits her opportunities and her team overall given the terminal quality of her arm. Beaumont has a balanced core of arms as Payne supports their pin action well through quicker offensive options. Bagent is off to a good start this fall for Calvert. Teh 6'2 left is definitely one to keep an eye on throughout the high school season as she assumes a bigger role for this tradition-rich program that went 29-0 in 2025. She runs through the middle well on quick options while also able to slow her mechanics to get up and contact high on the right pin. Calvert has a lot of pieces back and with Bagent's skill set shining early, they are likely to make another deep run. The 5'7 DS/L prospect enterd the 2026 season following big effort last year for Chillicothe. Picking up 423 digs in 2025, she averaged 18.4 d/m to set a big bar for the remainder of her high school career. As her team's primary libero, she anchors the left side of the court defensively where she reads and prepares well to make plays. So far this early season she has picked up another 22 digs for the Cavaliers. Arriving on the Watch List is Dempsey, a 5'8 outside hitter for Marysville. She has good tools as a six-rotation pin that should increase her team's depth on the offensive side. She has good athleticism to make plays at the net with good arm control when in system. Dempsey, coming off a club season with GCVC, had five kills in their recent match versus Dublin Scioto.
