Texas HS: Cy Ranch defeat Fulshear in exciting district match

The junior middle was very active with her blocking, moving well and playing aggressively to keep opponents under pressure, and got stops in important moments of the match, preventing Fulshear from going on runs. Miller was also very prolific offensively, making the most of her high contact point and showing a nice ability to send the ball into sharp angles with remarkable firepower. The junior outside hitter was very productive offensively - she used her firepower to overcome both blockers and defenders, but showed great vision to score off tips and tool the block, and didn't force plays when the set was too tight or off the net. The Mustangs struggled to score on some occasions when Bello was off the net, and she stepped up to swing from the back row and put the ball down. The junior was intelligent with her distribution, resisting the temptation to overload Bello at the pin, and kept the team's offense balanced. She used her middles in the right moments and ran some combination plays that got her pin hitters in good positions to score. The junior libero was very active defensively, delivering some impressive digs and showing nice quickness and ball control on the back row. Harvey also did well with her passing, helping keep the Mustangs' offense in system with accurate plays. Playing as an outside hitter, the junior unleashed impressive swings at the pin, using her firepower and her ability to find nice angles to consistently put the ball down. Ezebuilo showed excellent vision and accuracy to consistently beat the block, bringing great variation at the net. The junior libero was stellar on defense, performing some incredible one-handed digs and touching nearly everything that went in her zone to generate transition plays. Fajardo was also very consistent and confident with her passing, at times stepping in front of her teammates to get on the ball in moments when they were under pressure.
