Bello scored a good chunk of Cy Ranch’s first points in the match, setting the tone early and keeping Foster under pressure from the start. The junior’s outside hitter’s athleticism and firepower consistently put her in great positions to score, most notably when she was set in the middle in a combination play, and she capitalized on it with powerful and well-placed swings. Bello’s blocking was also a big factor for the Mustangs as she got some stops, including the game-winning point, and was excellent at pressuring opponents at the pin. The pin hitter also played impressive defense, combining superior positioning and great reflexes to make plays on the back row.

Bello was the player who got on the ball when something big was on the line for Cy Ranch, and she didn’t disappoint. The junior outside hitter was very productive offensively – she used her firepower to overcome both blockers and defenders, but showed great vision to score off tips and tool the block, and didn’t force plays when the set was too tight or off the net. The Mustangs struggled to score on some occasions when Bello was off the net, and she stepped up to swing from the back row and put the ball down. The pin hitter was very stable with her passing and kept opponents under pressure with her aggressive blocking.

Bello will be with Cy Ranch when they face Fort Bend Austin, Cinco Ranch and Cy Ridge in the first round. A dynamic and reliable point-scorer, the junior is their main offensive weapon and uses her athleticism and firepower to make things happen at the pin. Bello has an impressive vertical and is very quick with both her legs and her arms, which gives her an edge over opponents up at the net. An all-around player, she also does well with her passing and is very productive when playing defense.

Bello was one of the most dynamic athletes in the division, standing out with her explosive vertical and fast arm swing. Coming off a deep state playoff run with Cy-Ranch High School, she brought high energy and intensity to every match. Her ability to elevate and score against bigger blocks made her a difficult matchup. The sophomore outside hitter was unstoppable in the match and played a major role in the Lady Mustangs’ offense. Bello’s firepower was just too much for Klein Cain, and even when hitting the BIC, opposing blockers and defenders had no answers for her. Bello used her athleticism and physicality very well, but was very intelligent and displayed excellent technical skills to find gaps in the block in out-of-system plays, keeping her efficiency rate very high and making very few errors. The pin hitter also passed very well and made some impressive digs on the backcourt, especially in the first set.

Another six-rotation OH who can both pass and hit, Sade is the highflyer of this bunch, alongside Kolby Ross. She will catch your attention right from the jump in warmups, bouncing balls near the 10′ line left and right. I love a player who makes height a moot point and Sade does just that. Bello is able to hit both line and cross court with a lot of speed in her arm swing and power – and don’t even think about leaving a hole in the block because she is going to exploit it. In the backrow she is a beast on defense who never quits and will quite literally go after everything. And it’s a huge positive for her Houston Juniors team that she can pass and dig because it allows her to stay in the match and swing from the backrow too, giving them a lot of weapons to set. I foresee a really bright future for Sade at the next level in college with a LOT of great highlights in the both the front and back row.
