Every Point Matters as Class AA Semifinals Start

At this point in the postseason, there is little room for error, and every player will need to bring their best game to keep their team's season alive. One off night could mean the end of the road, while a big performance could be the difference between advancing to the section championship or heading home. It's going to take a complete team effort, with players stepping up in every aspect of the game. Every players contribution matters. Her ability to attack from multiple positions gives [program_tooltip program_id='430361' first='Cannon' last='Falls'] another offensive option as they look to spread the ball around and keep defenses guessing. Averaging 1.4 kills per set, Johnson has shown she can contribute offensively while also putting up a solid block at the net. She is comfortable attacking from both pins and has the ability to terminate even when her team is out of system. She does a great job mixing up her shots, whether she is taking a big swing, finding the seam, or using an off speed shot to exploit the open court. Nelson has proven she can be a valuable offensive weapon for the Patriots, including a 13-kill performance against Albany earlier this season that put her among the team's leading attackers. Gaining valuable varsity experience as an underclassman, Nelson is showing she can step up and contribute when her team needs her. Averaging 1.6 kills per set with a .202 hitting percentage (which leads her team) and 34 blocks on the season, Roehl is a reliable presence on both sides of the net. She does a lot of the little things that don't always show up on the stat sheet or grab the headlines but make a difference in the flow of the game. Rather than relying on power alone, Thompson uses her court awareness and shot selection to keep defenders guessing. Her ability to read the defense and find ways to score makes her a valuable offensive weapon for Barnesville as the top seeded Trojans prepare to take on Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton in Wednesday night's section semifinal matchup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
