197 – Paige Miller Paige Miller 5'10" | DS/L Kaukauna | 2023 State WI (2023, DS/L, Kaukauna)
Paige looks good. She is fast, smart, and has a great platform. It is sometimes hard for defensive players to stand out, everyone is captured by the big hitters, but Paige had no problem capturing my attention while watching on Saturday. Consistency is impressive too. She can also hit and set up a kill really well. She is a well-rounded athlete.
118 – Mia Johnson Mia Johnson 5'10" | DS/L Indian Trail | 2023 State WI (2023, DS/L, Indian Trail)
Mia is a smart player who follows the ball to the line and has really accurate serves. She has all the skills she needs. She can hit when needed and is impressive in the back row. She is fast and gets to the ball when she needs to, meaning she is quick on her feet and seems to able to read the other side of the net to get good placement when receiving the ball. She is definitely a player you would want on your team.
224 – Lindsey Taylor Lindsey Taylor DS/L State WI (2023, DS/L, Mukwonago)
Lindsey is a smart player who finds the floor when hitting over the net. In other words, she will make the play happen. Her serve/receive is really solid. In the back row, she provides solid defense following the ball out of play and touching what she should, and letting the ones out of bounds go out. Sometimes not touching the ball is as important as touching it.
156 – Brandi Fuller (2023, DS/L, Randolph High School)
Brandi has a really good short serve and can really pop it up when digging a soft hit sneaky attack. She uses her body well to transport to where the ball is going, meaning she can read the player across the net and use that knowledge for defensive purposes. Smart player.
