5 Athletes Who Made Us Say WOW at the Top 250 Expo

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There was some truly incredible volleyball played on Saturday at the Top 250 Expo. Athletes from across the midwest showed up and played their hardest, and it showed. It is always a Prep Dig Scout’s dream come true when all of these talented athletes are competing together in the same gym. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While there are plenty of athletes to write about in all age levels, here are a few of the athletes who made us say WOW as we saw them play at the Top 250 Expo!</span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rachel Rossman - 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rachel Rossman, out of Indiana, was one of the top players at the expo. She is a smart and savvy setter who gets her hands on every ball. She has a consistent and fast jump set that is hard to read. She could feed hitters all day and seemed to know exactly what each hitter needed. Rachel was fun to watch and definitely stole the show whenever she was on the court. </span></p> <p>https://x.com/prepdigrachel/status/1330195874086068227</p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="61726" first="Kiya" last="Levy"] - 2022 - #59 in video</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kiya can rip a ball. She is an insanely powerful middle who makes pounding a ball around a double block look easy. She has a huge vertical and an explosive approach which made her appear to fly through the air. Kiya is based out of Illinois and should definitely be on all coach’s radars as a top middle hitter.  </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anna Bjork - 2024</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anna showed what a dynamic athlete she is at the Expo. She can pass, swing, serve, and block well. Anna has great ball control in the back row and has a high, fast swing that gives her a ton of power through the ball. She reads the court well, a must for a middle hitter. Anna has a ton of power and a toolbox full of efficient shots in her back pocket. She is an all-around athlete who is one to watch in the coming years. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91881" first="Katie" last="Goba"] - 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Katie is a hugely talented libero. She caught my eye on serve receive because she was so naturally talented at reading the serve and overall very consistent. Katie is fast and efficient and will do just about anything to get a touch on the ball. She is impressive to watch on defense and serve receive and has a wicked tough serve as well. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91880" first="Kyla" last="Dunaway"] - 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kyla is one of the top athletes in this class and she proves it time and time again. Every time she steps on the court she makes big plays. She puts up a massive and nearly impenetrable block on the right side and can make basically any set into a powerful swing or kill. Kyla is a very valuable all-around athlete with huge amounts of potential. </span></p> <p>These are only a handful of the amazing athletes who competed at the Wisconsin Top 250 Expo. It was a fun and highly competitive day of volleyball. Keep these athletes on your radar as we head into club season!</p>
