Alyssa Borellis Alyssa Borellis 5'11" | S Notre Dame Prep | 2022 State #33 Nation MI , Notre Dame Prep: It’s almost unfair to call Borellis (Ole Miss) a setter, as she really does a little bit of everything for the Irish, a D2 quarterfinalist. While Borellis had 472 assists for ND Prep, she led the team in kills with 434 while hitting an eye-popping .419. She also had 51 blocks, 42 aces and 228 digs. Borellis is a force everywhere on the floor and the definition of a complete player.
Renee Brines Renee Brines 5'9" | S Cadillac | 2022 State MI , Cadillac: The Vikings are a D2 quarterfinalist this year as well and Brines has been a big reason why. She flawlessly runs the offense and racked up 1,164 assists during the season. That was just one aspect of her game though, as she also had 252 kills, 525 digs and 102 aces. The Vikings count on Brines for a lot, but she comes through each time.
Alyssa DeVries, Grand Rapids Christian: DeVries had some big shoes to fill in this year for Christian, but she kept the powerful Eagles offense rolling along. DeVries had 1,040 assists over 94 sets while also putting up 210 digs, 40 kills and 37 aces. She grew in comfort and confidence throughout the season and may find a way to lead the Eagles to another state title to finish out the season.
Mackenzie Delacher, Rockford: Delacher racked up a lot of assists this fall for the Rams. She put up 1,029 assists over 119 sets, while also adding 337 digs, 94 kills and 40 aces. Lauren Lee Lauren Lee 5'9" | S Skyline | 2022 State MI , Skyline: After missing most of the 2019 season due to injury, Lee has bounced back very nicely in 2020. She ran a powerful Skyline offense and helped the Eagles reach the D1 quarterfinals. This fall, Lee had 867 assists, 177 digs, 53 kills and 40 aces. Lee has some great hitters to work with, but her play also elevates their game.
Karlee Stoll Karlee Stoll 5'7" | S Anchor Bay | 2022 State MI , Anchor Bay: Stoll was a great leader on the floor for the Tars this year. Her control of the offense had Anchor Bay competing for a district championship this year. Stoll has established herself as one of the best in the class through her club play as well. The next year is a chance for her to really create some space as the top primary setter in this class.
Kendyl Andrews Kendyl Andrews 5'8" | S Flushing | 2022 State MI , Flushing: Another steady player at the setter position is Andrews. She guided Flushing to a Division 1 district championship and was an All-Region and All-Flint Metro Stripes player. Andrews has a lot of athleticism and uses it well at the position. She plays with a lot of confidence on the floor.
Julia Mills Julia Mills 5'10" | S Airport | 2022 State MI , Airport: Mills is another do-everything type player that was the lead setter for Airport, but could also finish at the net and had a great passing game in the back row.
