2021 Newest Additions to the State Rankings – April Update Vol 4

<p>We began our rankings last March with only 60 players.  We have since then doubled it in size as we now have 128 players ranked in the 2021 grad class.  We are extremely excited to welcome these ladies to such a prestigious group.  We have written about some of these athletes before, however we are going to now re-introduce them once again but now with their much deserved overall State Ranking attached to their name.  For the new athletes that we have not written about yet, we are excited to welcome them to the Rankings.  Congratulate them on social media or in person the next time you see them. Welcome to the list ladies…</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="139550" first="Lilly" last="Taylor"] [2021] 6-1 Outside (HS: Aledo/Club: Texas Image/ Verbal: University of Central Arkansas)</strong></p> <p>Please welcome Lilly to the 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings.  We have her listed as the 98^thbest prospect in the state.  Lilly is a wonderful outside hitter who plays at Aledo HS and club for Texas Image. She is committed to playing volleyball at the University of Central Arkansas.  She was instrumental in Aledo having an 18-6 overall record and a district record of 9-1.  In three years on varsity, she has accumulated 901 kills on a .237 career hitting percentage.  She also tallied 147 blocks, 54 aces, and 786 digs.  Lilly has great attacking abilities and scores in a variety of ways on the left pin and out of the back row.  She possesses a lot of natural power in her upper body and she utilizes it well.  She tracks the ball well during serve receive and it helps her stay extremely accurate and pass at a good clip.  We love the athleticism she shows while swing blocking and playing defense.  What stands out the most is her quick footwork in transition as she uses it to get to her touch point to attack.  She also drives extremely hard into the ground during her approach and it shows in her vertical.  We at Prep Dig couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments on the court and this is why we chose to add her to the State Rankings.  Please help us congratulate her on this amazing accolade. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="139552" first="Kendra" last="Schwarz"] [2021] 5-11 Middle (HS: Boerne/Club: SA Force/Verbal: Midland College) </strong></p> <p>Please welcome Kendra to the 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 120^thbest prospect in the state.  Miss Schwarz is a fantastic middle who plays for Boerne HS and she also plays club for San Antonio Force Volleyball club out of the Lone Star Region.  This past year on varsity she tallied 150 kills, 31 blocks, and 59 digs.  This past year she helped Boerne have a 19-5 overall record and a district record of 6-2. Kendra is committed to playing at the next level with Midland College and will absolutely help their program the moment she steps on campus.  Miss Schwarz has a lot of natural power that she gets from her upswing.  It helps her get up high and she puts all of that energy into the ball as the downswing occurs.  She has good height and athleticism for Midland and it will translate into speed form the middle or outside position.  Please congratulate her on this great achievement. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="139554" first="Abby" last="Thompson"] [2021] 5-2 Libero (HS: Aledo/Verbal: Dominican College) </strong></p> <p>Please welcome Abby to the 2021 Prep Dig State Rankings.  We have her listed as the 127^thbest prospect in the state.  She is a solid libero who plays for Aledo High School.  In two years on varsity she tallied 372 digs, 348 service receptions and 23 aces.  This past year she helped Aledo have a 18-6 overall record and a district record of 9-1. She is a district defensive player of the year for Aledo and also an Academic All State player.  Her serve receive is stellar and you can attribute her high level of passing to the way she creates and holds her angle throughout the entire pass and after.  It takes a lot of discipline to pass that way and Abby has it.  Miss Thompson is committed to playing at the next level with Dominican College and will absolutely help their program with ball control the moment she suits up.  Please congratulate her on this great achievement. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We have some amazing new players to introduce you to that got added to our 2021 rankings with the new update and tons who moved up and down the list.  We will be publishing more articles daily to give the recognition to each athlete that has earned the right to be called a top Texas Volleyball Player.  Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.  If you have anyone you think we should watch out for or that you think have what it takes to be added to our database, please shoot me an email with some info at nov8vb@yahoo.com</p>
