<p>Louisville - the sight for this year's JVA World Challenge - is a great city to visit, but it wasn't very welcoming to teams from Nebraska on the first day of the tournament on Friday.</p>
<p>Of the 10 teams in the 15s-18s divisions, just two remained in title contention in its division after the first day. Those honors belong to River City juniors 16 Navy, which went 2-1 on Friday in pool play in the 16 Club division, and River City Juniors 15 Navy after it went 1-2 but won a tie-breaker match 15-10 over a team from New Wave. </p>
<p>In the 18 Open division, Nebraska Juniors 181went 1-2 on the opening day to finish third in its pool while in 18 Club, River City Juniors 181 went 2-1 but lost to a team from Sports Performance in a playoff match, and as a result did not advance up.</p>
<p>In 17 Open, Nebraska Juniors 171 went 1-2 while in the 17 Premier division Nebraska Juniors 172 also went 1-2 as both teams moved into the consolation rounds. In 17 Club, River City Juniors 17 Navy went 0-3 and also went to the consolation rounds.</p>
<p>Aside from River City 16 Nave moving up in the 16 Club division, Nebraska Juniors 161 went 0-3 in 16 Open while Nebraska Juniors 163 went 2-1, but also went to the consolation rounds after losing a tie-breaker match 15-7 to a Wildfire team in the 16 Club division.</p>
<p>In 15 Club, River City Juniors 15 Navy advanced up while in 15 Open, Nebraska Juniors 151 went 1-2 in pool play and is headed to the consolation rounds. </p>
