Teams Set to Impress at the Sizzle

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Prep Dig Sizzle is this week and the competition is going to heat up! Varsity teams will be competing over two days of play and it will be amazing to see them back in action. Here are some teams that are set to impress at the Sizzle this week!</span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pulaski </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This team was solid last year and will only grow in the upcoming season. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122479" first="Emily" last="Bruss"]</strong> continues to improve and develop on the court. She is smart, energetic, and has great hands. Emily is an all-around player who will develop into a key leader for this team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="119398" first="Ashton" last="Birr"]</strong> is a workhorse in the back row. She has great ball control and is very solid on defense. Middle hitter <strong>Jocelin Feutz</strong> is an impactful middle who executes on offense and has an aggressive serve as well. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pewaukee</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Despite losing an arsenal of seniors in the class of 2021, there is a solid base of athletes to fill their very large shoes. Incoming senior setters <strong>Cora Riffle</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35805" first="Katie" last="Gund"]</strong> (Illinois Wesleyan Commit) both have a ton of talent and experience on the court. Cora has good ball control and is effective as a hitter as well as a setter. Katie is an incredibly gritty athlete who leads by example and puts her heart into every ball that comes over the net. <strong>Megan Zielsdorf</strong> is an up-and-coming middle for the Pirates who has huge potential to have an impact for them this year. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Waterloo</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a gritty team with a lot of firepower. Setter and hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91885" first="Sophia" last="Schneider"]</strong> gives 100% effort on every single ball. She executes for this talented team. Pin hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91886" first="Rylee" last="Duessler"]</strong> is simply an all-around great athlete. She has an aggressive serve, executes on offense, and plays scrappy defense. Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="57270" first="Michaela" last="Riege"]</strong> brings consistency to the back row on serve receive and defends the backcourt ferociously. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brookfield Central</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This should be a big year for Central. Minnesota commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22407" first="Mckenna" last="Wucherer"]</strong> and Marquette commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81253" first="Morgan" last="Daugherty"]</strong> will be entering their senior year and are as lethal as ever. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81283" first="Tatum" last="Kebisek"]</strong> will also be entering her senior year and has great chemistry with this high-level team. This team should have a lot of success led not only by these incoming seniors but also the remainder of this highly talented team. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Appleton North</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Comming of an alternate fall season Division 1 State Championship, this team has huge power. They will be returning much of their team including four first-team all-state athletes: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="57241" first="Brianna" last="Cantrell"]</strong>, <strong>Ella Demetrian</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81261" first="Madisen" last="Miller"]</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81269" first="Bella" last="Van Lannen"]</strong> (Northern Colorado commit). This is a powerhouse team that is set to have another very successful year. <strong>Berkeley Mischler</strong> (Lipscomb commit) is a huge asset to this team as well. She is explosive and brings a lot of firepower in the front row. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Howards Grove</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This team only dropped one match last year and won the Division III State Championship. While they will be losing some impactful seniors, this team has a solid base to develop from this season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="82282" first="Saige" last="Damrow"]</strong> (Wisconsin commit) is simply an incredible athlete who has been a leader on this team since day one. She will be entering her junior season. Setter <strong>Emma Bairl</strong> (Truman State commit) will enter her senior season and runs the court efficiently. She is a gamer who shows up and gives her all on every point. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="22384" first="Karissa" last="Kaminski"]</strong> (Dayton commit) executes on offense and is incredibly scrappy on defense. </span></p>
