Badger Youth HP Athlete Analysis – Top Players Take On Florida

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last week the top athletes from across the state descended upon UW-Oshkosh for the Badger Region High-Performance Camp. After three days full of volleyball, the ten-person roster was announced. These athletes will be traveling to Orlando, Florida to represent the Badger Region and compete in the USA All-Star Championships next week. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Here are the 10 athletes named to the roster. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81258" first="Claire" last="Ammeraal"] - Setter - Committed to Central Michigan - Class of 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Claire is the whole package. She can set, hit, and play defense. Claire is also a huge energizer and leader on the court. Her clean hands and aggressive mindset means she has a lot of success as a setter and athlete. She gives full out effort on every ball and has a lot of fun on the court. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81264" first="Ally" last="Barth"] - Middle Blocker - Committed to North Dakota State University - Class of 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ally is a gritty athlete that simply finds a way to get the job done. She is dynamic across the front row and has a heavy hand and solid power on the ball. Ally has a great contact point and can find awesome spots on the court to earn points! She works hard on the court and is a great addition to this roster. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jayda Berg - Right Side - Class of 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jayda has a high reach and snap on the right side. She has huge potential. Really, for Jayda, the sky is the limit. Every time she stepped on the court she improved in leaps and bounds. She is a very talented blocker and puts up some very powerful swings as well. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81253" first="Morgan" last="Daugherty"] - Middle Blocker - Committed to Marquette - Class of 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Morgan is an aggressive and powerful middle who makes her impact known on the court whether it is the first point of the match or the last. She brings a competitive edge when she steps on the court. Morgan also can pass well in defense and has an aggressive serve, a must for middles at the All-Star Championships where liberos cannot serve. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91933" first="Isabella" last="Grace"] - Outside Hitter - Class of 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Isabella (Izzy) is incredibly consistent. On this team where there is a lot of power, she will bring the calm, steadiness needed. She is great on serve receive and can be relied upon in all six rotations. She can also whip out big power when needed though! Izzy has a lot of spirit on the court and will likely be a go-to consistent athlete on this team. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Natalie Harris - Libero/DS - Class of 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Natalie is one of the fastest and most consistent liberos in her class. She is fairly quiet but still finds a way to communicate efficiently and effectively. Natalie has a great read of the court. Coupled with her insane speed she frustrates opposing offenses with her ability to pick up tips and anticipate shots. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="61807" first="Kindyl" last="Kilar"] - Outside Hitter - Class of 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kindyl is an incredibly hard-working athlete. She has the ability to play well in all six rotations. Kindyl finds a great balance between being an explosive hitter and utilizing smart shots to earn points. She is also aggressive in defense and very controlled on serve receive. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81262" first="Berkley" last="Mischler"] - Middle Hitter/RS - Committed to Lipscomb - Class of 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Berkeley is one of the most explosive hitters in her grade. She goes hard on every set and utilizes the momentum of her approach to put some crazy power on the ball. Never give Berkeley an open net because she will take advantage and has the ability to bounce the ball. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91911" first="Meghan" last="Scholz"] - Middle Hitter - Class of 2023</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Meghan has a lot of power and puts up a massive block. She impressed at High-Performance Camp from day 1. Meghan has a high and powerful swing and manufactures kills for her team. She brings huge positive energy to the court. Meghan is simply a talented athlete. She is fun to watch compete at a high level. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="81331" first="Hadley" last="Strohkirch"] - Libero/DS - Class of 2022</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hadley is an incredibly strong libero. She reads the court well and is a huge energizer. Her leadership in the back row is natural and effective. Hadley is great in scramble plays and gets a touch on nearly every ball. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Good luck to these athletes at the USA All-Star Championships! And congratulations to all athletes who competed at the High-Performance camp. It was a very competitive three days of high-quality play. </span></p>
