Late last week, we released our first Class of 2024 player rankings.

This sophomore crop has a good balance at the varied positions, with some real special players in the mix.

Here's a closer look at the first top 10 in the class.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="110292" first="Zoey" last="Dood"], S Grandville/MVA: Dood has the potential to really shine at the next level. She's a 6'2” left-handed setter that makes the position look effortless. Dood brings a lot of variety to her offense and still has a lot of room to grow.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="110282" first="Mallory" last="Bohl"], MB Saline/Legacy: Bohl is a 6'3” middle that is already finishing at a high rate and a standout blocker. The sky is the limit for Bohl as she develops more confidence and command on the floor.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="110295" first="Elana" last="Erickson"], OH Forest Hills Nothern/FaR Out: Erickson is an explosive player that can really leap off the floor and deliver a big swing. Her all-around play is what makes her stand out. She moves smoothly around the court and is technically sound in each aspect of the game.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="110288" first="Cayla" last="Cogan"], OH Clarkston/Legacy: Cogan is another package of dynamite. She displays the ability to hit different angles with high velocity. She stays light on her feet to get in good position and is able to go toe-to-toe with hitters much larger in size.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="110318" first="Carley" last="Piercefield"], L/DS Lakewood/FaR Out: Piercefield is someone that gained a lot of varsity experience last year for the Vikings and carried that into a strong club season. She's calm and collected in the back row while being able to adjust herself to make the tough digs.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="110278" first="Caroline" last="Baker"], S Byron Center/FaR Out: Baker has a lot of athleticism for the position and she's been able to bring the best out of her hitters. With more experience, her leadership skills should grow to push her up the ladder.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="110305" first="Kendall" last="Hopewell"], MB Forest Hills Eastern/FaR Out: Hopewell has been able to turn a lot of heads with her explosiveness at the net in both hitting and blocking. She's had a knack for being in the right place at the right time, but that's due to her instincts and quickness.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="110332" first="Avery" last="Weslow"], OH Forest Hills Central/FaR Out: Weslow is just as strong with her back row attacks as she is at the net, which is impressive. She already does a great job of mixing up her speeds and locations. Her high court IQ is sure to make her a standout player for years to come.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="110296" first="Ellie" last="Fles"], MB South Christian/FaR Out: Fles has been able to play on the outside or middle due to her footwork and ability to adapt on the court. She's got good size at 6'0” and likes to play a physical style.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="110308" first="Mila" last="Kavara"], MB Forest Hills Central/FaR Out: Kavara has a lot to offer as a 6'2” middle with high termination rates. She's also listed as a RS for the Rangers, allowing her to move around the net and add more tools to her game.
