Pacific Northwest Qualifier – 17s Preview

<p>Club volleyball teams from the state of Washington will have their best opportunity to qualify for this year’s USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship in the next two weekends, when the Spokane area hosts the Pacific Northwest Qualifier.</p> <p>The event will be played across four venues in the region and will reunite teams competing in 28 different divisions in eight age groups. In the days leading up to the first weekend of competition, we’ll preview each age group from 15s to 18s, highlighting the teams of Washington that will compete in the tournament.</p> <p>All four 17s divisions will be on the court from March 26-28 and 26 different teams will be representing the Evergreen State on them.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>17 American (6)</strong></p> <p><strong>Apex NW U17 Summit </strong>will be a fun team to watch in the division with their trio of <strong>Taylor Lentz, Lainey Kimball </strong>(middle blockers) and <strong>Meredith Marsh </strong>(setter). <strong>SIVA 17 North Blue </strong>also has some interesting talent in <strong>Morgan Hayes </strong>(outside hitter), <strong>Kali Macleod</strong> (right side) and <strong>Aysia Mitchell</strong> (libero).</p> <p><strong> </strong><strong>CC Fusion 16-1 Black, Dakine Warriors 17 Ohana, Rainier U17 Summit-Frey </strong>and <strong>PS U17 Red </strong>are the other teams from the state of Washington set to compete in the division.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>17 Liberty (10)</strong></p> <p><strong>PJVBC 17 National </strong>could be a force in the division because of talented players such as setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97263" first="Madison" last="Brauner"], </strong>outside hitter <strong>Vallane Sneva </strong>and middle blocker <strong>Hollis Downing. </strong>Also keep an eye on <strong>PS U17 Navy </strong>and more specifically on right side <strong>Krista Traynor</strong> and outside hitters <strong>Brooklynn Thesenvitz </strong>and <strong>Keirra Garcia</strong>.</p> <p><strong> </strong><strong>Aspire NW 17-1 Empire, Aspire NW 17-2, Capital Ice 17’s, Dakine Warriors 17 Aloha, Ignite 17-1, Kokua 16 Elite, SEVC 17-1 </strong>and <strong>SNVF 17 White </strong>will also represent the Evergreen State in Spokane.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>17 Open (5)</strong></p> <p><strong>Dakine Warriors 17 Surf </strong>enters the division as one of the favorites. They have some of the top players in the state in outside hitters <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97258" first="Hailey" last="Brockway"] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97260" first="Ivy" last="Vindivich"] </strong>and setter <strong>Sophia Baugh.</strong> NPJ Seattle 17 National are in the same conversation with the likes of <strong>Ellie Marble, Friley Curtiss</strong> (outside hitter) and <strong>Jaelyn Moeva</strong> (middle blocker).</p> <p><strong> </strong><strong>Blue Royals 17-A, Renovators 17 – Jacob </strong>and <strong>SIVBC 17 Storm </strong>will also try to show their best volleyball in the most prestigious division of the event.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>17 USA (5)</strong></p> <p><strong>Seattle Jrs 17 </strong>leads the way in the division with strong talent like <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97242" first="Maleah" last="Andrews"]</strong> (setter), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97236" first="Barrett" last="Anderson"]</strong> (outside hitter) and <strong>Nayella George</strong> (middle blocker). <strong>NW Jrs. 17 UA Blue </strong>also has some promising talent in <strong>Sofia Rudic </strong>(middle blocker), <strong>Ashley Nugent </strong>(right side) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="97131" first="Claire" last="Vonderhaar"]</strong> (outside hitter).</p> <p><strong>NPJ Seattle 17 Elite, NW Jrs. 17 UA Black </strong>and <strong>Shockwave U17 </strong>are also entered in the division.</p>
