Athletes from all over showed up to showcase their talents and there was plenty of talent there to showcase. They ran through various drills and game-like situations to highlight each position and let the scouts get a good look. The following players stood out and left it all on the court, earning a spot on the Top Performers list.
Top Performers 2024
Paige Davis – William Henry Harrison High School / Boiler Juniors
A middle that could get it done and frustrate the other side of the net. She was fast off the floor to stop the setter tips and overpasses. Her height helped her play above the net and get her hands up and over to shut down the other teams offense. A name I am sure we will hear again.
Alaina Clary – Harrison High School / Boiler Juniors
A setter that really enjoys doing what she does. Great body control at the net for the tight passes as well as being smart with where she sent the ball. She could have just as easily been a DS with her passing ability and hustle, absolutely a joy to watch on the court.
Lindley Martin Lindley Martin 5'5" | DS/L North Judson-San Pierre | 2024 State IN – North Judson-San Pierre High School / Boiler Junior 16 Black
A quick, fiery and fun Libero that could cover a large amount of the court. Keeping her team in system with her 3 balls, it was hard to get the ball to touch the floor on her side of the net. Very high court IQ and a go-getter that would be an asset on any team.
Meryl Zunk Meryl Zunk 5'10" | RS Brebeuf | 2024 State IN – Brebeuf Jesuit Prep – The Academy Volleyball Club Yeti 16-1
A hitter that could hit a variety of shots and was able to keep the other side of the net busy. She could get off the floor and put the ball away with her strong swing as well as getting up to help with blocking. A great player with an even better attitude.
Anna Elkin Anna Elkin 5'10" | OH Noblesville | 2024 State IN – Noblesville High School / The Academy Boiler Junior
A team player, very positive on the court. She had great communication with her setter, letting her know where she needed the ball to take those powerfull swings and score points. She was a very dynamic player, helping out both on offense and defense making those plays that keep you on your feet.
Katie Smith Katie Smith 5'3" | DS/L Roncalli | 2024 State IN – Roncalli High School / Academy 16E Phoenix
One of the smallest players in the gym but she played way bigger. She had great hustle and was a great communicator on the court, keeping the back row running smoothly. She had great form while passing, keeping her hips low and getting her feet to the ball to make those money passes. Very fun to watch.
