For this series, we will be spotlighting athletes from teams that finished in the top 20 for the 18U/16U division who were nominated by their club coach, or a club coach from another team.
Without further ado, here are the 2024 attackers that had stellar performances.
Elizabeth Andrew Elizabeth Andrew 6'5" | MB Ridgefield | 2024 State #6 Nation WA , 6’5”, MB, Ridgefield High School, Athena Volleyball Academy 16-1 Gold

A top 2024 middle blocker nationally, currently sitting at #9 on the PrepDig National rankings, it is no surprise that she is dominating for the Athena 16-1 Gold team. Standing at 6’5”, she is a force to be reckoned with at the net. Her coach commended her on the value she brings to the court. Obviously, she is an athlete with an impressive physical stature. However, what truly sets her apart is her passion for the game and the inspiration she cultivates for her team to reach new heights, says her coach.
Lauryn Johnson, 6’1”, MB, West Salem High School, North Pacific Juniors 18-1 Forefront

Johnson is a terminal and lethal middle blocker for the North Pacific Juniors 18 Forefront. A 2024, playing with primarily 2022s, she fits right in with the 18U age group. What is most impressive about Johnson is her sheer athleticism and the explosiveness in which she plays. She is a mean attacker, with significant hang time, when she connects with the ball she absolutely unloads on it. Blocking, she moves well laterally to close, and seals with the net.
Paige Lindsey, 5’8”, MB, Westside Christian School, NW Elite 16-1 Gold
Lindsey is a major offensive weapon for the NW Elite 16-1 Gold team as one of their starting middle blockers. She hit .600 over the two-day tournament. Her coach commended the competitive edge she brings to the team, and her ability to terminate consistently in the middle.
Chloe Leluge Chloe Leluge 6'3" | MB Bend | 2024 State #155 Nation OR , 6’1”, OH/MB, North Pacific Juniors Bend 16-1 National, Bend High School

Leluge received a nod from both an opposing coach and her own coach for her standout play over Regionals weekend for the North Pacific Juniors Bend 16-1 National team. After losing two starters, a right side and an outside, some lineup changes had to be made. Leluge was moved from the middle, where she had played most of the season, to the outside. Playing outside during high school season for Bend High School (and receiving All-Leauge and All-State nods), the transition for Leluge was seamless. She was a force at the net, both attacking and blocking. Playing across the backrow as well, she did so with confidence. Her coach commended her great attitude and her ability to embrace whatever role her team needed from her. Over Regionals, she hit over .400 on day one, and was just behind that on day two.
Kate Mawdsley, 6’0”, MB, Mountain View High School, Central Oregon Volleyball Club 18-1
[ Link to recruiting profile ]
Mawdsley is one of the middle blockers for the COVC 18-1 team. Her coach commended her on her all-out play, and her tough serve that racked up points, getting the team out of some holes. Mawdsley is not afraid to swing away and is a terminal middle blocker for the team.
Lizabelle Osborn, 5’9”, OH, Creswell High School, Unity 16-1

Osborn is the primary outside hitter for the Unity 16-1 team. Her coach has been coined her a momentum builder, always finding opportunities to score. She plays smart and does an exceptional job placing the ball where defenders are not. But has no problem creating some momentum off of a big kill when the opportunity presents itself. Her coach shouted out Osborn as being a major component of the team’s journey from starting out the season ranked in the 60s to finishing 13th at Regionals, the best finish for a Unity club team ever.
