The impressive middle blocker and possible pin hitter is the #2 overall ranked player in the state, and potentially a number one as we watch the rest of her high school career. Andrew is a top 10 high-major prospect, and her potential landing spots are perennial volleyball powers from around the country. It’s the superior length combined with great skill, work ethic, and feel for the game that sets her apart. There is still a big ceiling for her growth as a player overall.

Andrew is nearly unstoppable at the net, her contact point and ability to hit over or off the top of the block is impressive. She was very solid in serve receive, that will be a facet of her game that continues to improve and opponents tested the rangy 6’5 athlete to see if she could hold up under serve pressure. If her ultimate position is in the middle, she has an awesome block and attacks explosively off one foot. If she can play all the way around though, what a weapon on the pin. Her versatility was on full display and Ridgefield found her in the pipe when they needed a big swing.

The Spudders roll into the state tournament as the #4 seed. Importantly this places them on the opposite side of the bracket of league rival Columbia River, as the two teams just played in the district final with Ridgefield snapping Columbia River’s 38-game win streak. In that five-set match, Andrew posted 26 kills and along with fellow middle Hailey, McEllrath combined for 13 blocks. When the team is clicking, the offense is among the best in the state at any level, and with her high contact point and accuracy, Andrew can terminate in any situation.
