USAV GJNC 15 American and Freedom

<p>Today we will continue our Pre-Nationals coverage for Kansas clubs in the 15s age division. These are the teams participating in the American and Freedom sections of the Girls Juniors National Championships starting June 27th in Indianapolis.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>American</strong></em></span></p> <p><strong>Topeka Saints 15-1</strong> and <strong>Mavs KC 15-2</strong> are the willing participants in the American. The Saints were one of 16 teams in a competitive Heart of America Power League this winter. They finished runner-ups in the regional tournament to earn one of the allocated bids for their region. They won two tournaments this season and should compete well in Indy. <strong>Campbell Chabot</strong> is a player we highlighted earlier this season as a difference-maker. </p> <p>Mavs KC was able to grab a region bid as other teams upgraded their American bids after a 6th place regional finish. They have a posted 39-25 record on the season. Head coach Tabre Oliver will look for the team to stay locked in from the first serve to the last point and show consistency throughout the tournament. <strong>Taylor Nielson</strong> and company will be up to the challenge. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>Freedom</strong></em></span></p> <p>The <strong>Air Capital Aces</strong> and <strong>[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 15 Blue</strong> teams will round out the 15s teams in our preview. They earned the bids by finishing 8th and 9th respectively in the regional tournament. ACA 15 Black enter the tournament with a 17-19 posted record. The team based out of the Wichita area has a talented roster. <strong>Elle Davis</strong> and <strong>Kalyn Sampson</strong> have been strong at the net. <strong>Kendal Brueggen</strong> has been strong along the back row defensively and with timely kills. <strong>Kaitlyn Cure</strong> has also been steady.</p> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] comes in 45-27 and should be in the conversation for a Freedom title come day 4. They get to battle often in their own gym with the likes of their other age group teams to prepare for this run. They have a 5th place finish at Northern Lights under their belts this season. <strong>Danielle Runnebaum</strong> and <strong>Alexandra Huffmire</strong> bring good size to the front row. <strong><a href="https://www.[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']vb.com/roster_players/49566035?subseason=761065">Amya Kador</a> </strong>has been steady in the back row. </p>
